Charged isn't convicted unless I've missed something. So the guy did get manslaughter, some were saying self defence.
But if anyone sadly saw the footage circulating at the time, he clearly came from the back at that point to punch him, where he didn't need to, even if it was a situation that shouldn't have happened.
Fair point, however that seems to be what they're pushing for.Charged isn't convicted unless I've missed something.
Complete waste.
Yeh, if the sentence is worthy of more than 12months it goes to crownAll 10 have been bailed till the 13th March to then appear at Preston magistrates court. The only one I can see being redirected to crown court with be the man that’s been charged with manslaughter as I don’t think the magistrates can deal with that one
They can’t deal with an offence triable on indictment, but all cases have to start in the Mags.Yeh, if the sentence is worthy of more than 12months it goes to crown
Self defence is a more of a plea in court, it's not a charge. So the guy did get manslaughter, some were saying self defence.
But if anyone sadly saw the footage circulating at the time, he clearly came from the back at that point to punch him, where he didn't need to, even if it was a situation that shouldn't have happened.
Yea, I skim thread the article and got the wrong end of the stick.Self defence is a more of a plea in court, it's not a charge.
I only hope you’re right, but I doubt it. As the old adage says, the more beer goes down the throat, the more sense goes out the window.Incredibly sad and totally preventable. Obviously I feel most for Tony's family and friends but there are lot of people's lives that have been impacted/scarred for life. I only hope that it makes others think about their actions in such situations.
