Ten Charged. Tony Johnson March 2023

So the guy did get manslaughter, some were saying self defence.

But if anyone sadly saw the footage circulating at the time, he clearly came from the back at that point to punch him, where he didn't need to, even if it was a situation that shouldn't have happened.

Charged isn't convicted unless I've missed something.

Complete waste.

Agree with comments above.

Saw stevenage v reading video last night.. I just don't get it.. its a fecking game. And like most it was 2/3 on one and then someone throwing a sly punch from behind.

Sadly it does seem to be getting worse.

There have been charges, as yet no convictions. At this point as proceedings at live, I’d avoid speculation and comment as to what happened and who did what as it can be both Contempt of Court and can jeopardise the trial.

These things are taken very seriously and it’s very easy to make an error leading to people feeling the wrong side of CoC.

All 10 have been bailed till the 13th March to then appear at Preston magistrates court. The only one I can see being redirected to crown court with be the man that’s been charged with manslaughter as I don’t think the magistrates can deal with that one

Yeh, if the sentence is worthy of more than 12months it goes to crown

Self defence is a more of a plea in court, it's not a charge.

Incredibly sad and totally preventable. Obviously I feel most for Tony's family and friends but there are lot of people's lives that have been impacted/scarred for life. I only hope that it makes others think about their actions in such situations. 😔
I only hope you’re right, but I doubt it. As the old adage says, the more beer goes down the throat, the more sense goes out the window.
