Terrible PR

Personal issues? Why not play him, would we have lost those last away games with him running our midfield? Very badly handled by the club,
We might well have lost those recent away games as our away form was poor when Kenny was playing. Kenny must desperately want this move so may have been unsettled; only those inside the club would know this.

We just need to forget about him and move on.

Agreed but why BS it, just state he wants away, why not play him though while he is being paid by us?

I get what you're saying but if the proposed move was far from complete and the club puts it out that he wants out then that has its own problems should the move fall through. Ie how will the fans react? Would NC want to play him? Would Kenny want to play with everything out in the open? I'm not sure tbh but this happens a lot just more complicated with it being Singapore I guess.

The fans would boo him which is counter productive.

At least its cleared up the speculation and put some meat on the bones in relation to Kenny's situation.

I see nothing wrong with a long serving players leaving and getting another maybe bigger contract elsewhere, also moving closer to home at some point must be in his mind, knowing he is leaving we could at least give him a good send off.

If hes a good professional and has a good relationship with everyone, if he’s been honest about what he wants and the opportunity that’s presented itself then why wouldn’t the club give him a little time away to persue it ? Getting him and his new family over to Thailand (or wherever) is a massive move. Perhaps he needed time to go over there and think about it. Look around, speak to people etc. It’s a short career and potentially a huge life changing decision. The club look to me as if they’ve been very patient and supportive of an employee on a human level. That should be applauded

No problem with that. As long as BFC aren't paying for it, I fear he is getting paid though (minute or 2 last week).

Is he still being paid?
I imagine so. I doubt he’s said he will not play and gone on strike , it’s likely the club and player agreeing that he won’t be selected so club gets a fee and player gets the move and he doesn’t get injured. He’s probably not even doing any contact training.

Can you see a Club in Thailand paying any meaningful fee?

It's all too easy to criticise the club but no one really knows the full facts.

The way it is panning out, is disappointing for KD to finish his time with the club in this manner.

Will always remember that brace at Wembley. 😉

Probably one equivalent to the wages we have paid since the player said he wanted the move up to conclusion of the deal. That’s what I’d be saying if I were Sadler…if you don’t reimburse us the wasted wage while we protect the players fitness the deal is off.

Well said. Why are so many fans so angry about everything and eager to have a go at people, all the friggin time? Such a bitter society we seem to live in.

100% agree with that

It’s because people live their lives out on social media and it’s easier to be bitter and negative when typing on a keyboard, in the good
old days when people actually got together if you had that approach you would quickly lose your friends.

It’s a sad indictment on today’s society.

I say just let him go and good luck to him, what's the point of having someone there who doesn't want to be, and nowadays the players pull the strings not the clubs, he will of got paid through the whole process

Sure. I don't think it's easier to be bitter and negative though. It must create a lot of anxiety and waste a lot of energy etc. So I reckon it's about a lack of control. And a bad state of mind.A wealthy society with access to all sorts of stuff, but a collective mental chaos. Needs addressing! 🤘

It should have been a contract terminated by mutual consent when it was clear he wanted to go to pursue other opportunities and was a wee bit tired.

I honestly don't think many would have complained at that.

Why I'd it terrible PR? God, why do people seem to think everything should be spoon-fed up their arses so things are just as they want them? Kenny is going so get over it. We have a good squad, who really gives a shit? And what is has to do with SS is lost on me.

Same with Andy Lyons. We should've been made aware earlier and he should've been available to play.

And as for Bez Luabala - it's disgraceful how the club didn't keep us better informed on that one. He's a fantastic player and should've been playing whatever his personal circumstances.
