Critical for front line staff, but for the wider population not so sure the Government would be that keen.
On the their website this morning the figures up to yesterday (31ST March) were 143,000 tested with 25,000 tested positive, (i have rounded up the figures)= 17%.
If the government were serious about testing 25,000 daily then based on similar results of those already tested would mean 4250 extra virus cases DAILY, a figure the NHS would find difficult if not impossible to cope with, so my suspicion is that they will delay the 25k daily testing as long as possible.
BBC south east news reported last night that in East Kent, the Margate hospital had reached it's capacity for those needing critical care and thoughts were on constructing a makeshift hospital similar to the one in London, somewhere suitable in the region.

Testing positive does not mean going to hospital. 'As the DCMO said the other day', the treatment is the same, if you have symptoms stay at home with all the family, for 14 days.

Turn football stadiums into temporary hospitals. Big buildings with many rooms that can be put to good use while there’s no sport going on

We've just had the Tangobears tested for the virus- parvovirus - and ringworm after the winter hibernation.

They've got the all clear but the hair around their little bottoms was all matted, and not helped by little botty burps when snoozing.
Back in harness now but they keep pawing and whimpering at the doors of the Farmers Arms which is very sad,but how can you explain to a young bear that their tangopop has to be served at TangoTowers for a while?

Edit:we did it and they're enjoying it.Back to full health and tucking into Tangotoast as I type. 😃

Great analysis, Whits, testing seems to be the Achilles heel of all this. How can you plan emergency resources if you don't know with how many you are dealing?
Was reading that Cumbria are converting leisure centres, surprised East Kent aren't ahead of them. Cumbria is one of the worst per head affected outside London, 10 deaths in Furness General alone. All those blasted tourists who wouldn't take any notice of the advice.
