The club was in a terrible state when you took the helm, you didn't have to. You could have just had an easy life, but decided to put your head over the parapit and take over the reins.

Blackpool ironically is the countries biggest rollercoaster club, more playoff wins than any other and we all enjoy the ride. I work in an industry where failure is treated as a good thing, and a chance to learn. It's true in many ways you learn more from the failures.

Take stock, regroup, ignore the morons and know the majority of fans are right behind you. Thank you for the care you've given to the old girl, she's looking a hell of a lot better than when you took over.

100% agree. We’ve been relegated by mistakes no doubt, but not through any lack of care or expenditure. I for one hope SS hasn’t lost heart for the fight.

Rubbish. The club is in a terrible state. Top brass leaving or being sacked, and those left are incompetent. A fanbase that would rather throw missiles at opposing ers than get behind the team. Sadler really should sell up to someone who actually has money to spend, unlike himself who just talks about it.LOL
LoL I've watched most games on TTv this season and the fans have been awesome. You will always get a minority of idiots. From where I'm sat I would say the mistakes which have occurred have been due to time pressures, we appear to have rushed some decisions especially around the playing and managerial recruitment.

The club is in far from a terrible state.

“Top brass leaving or being sacked” 😂

Which is exactly what a tiny minority of fans have been demanding. And now they’re having hysterics that their wishes have come true.

You're one of the minority....

as are, as you rightly state, the morons who throw things onto the pitch......

Well done!

We aren't all idiots after all!

Was actually getting me down reading some of the dirge on here from our "fans".

I always think this when people call for sackings etc. There’s a time to get rid of course, but all the super successful people in the world have messed up far more than they have succeeded, they just learned and eventually got it right.

The last thing we need running our club is people who have never failed.

We've made so many mistakes this season, but SS hasn't become a multi millionaire by failing to learn from his mistakes. I'm sure he'll get it right and we'll come back stronger. Everyone at the club needs to put this season behind them as quickly as possible and get focused on next season.
8 out of the last 9 teams relegated from the championship have finished the following season challenging for promotion (in the top 7), so there's every chance for us if we don't dwell on it too much.
We'll have one of the top budgets in league one, and hopefully if the new east stand gets started there's plenty to look forward to at the club.

Not so much as a thankyou Simon (we were relegated after all and it was a terrible year off and on the pitch) but I do have faith in him and fully believe he will put things right (off the pitch) for next season.

It's tedious reading the criticism of various people as what's done is done and the past cannot be changed. So we need to look forward.

I have trust in Mr Sadler that lessons have been learned and he will facilitate the club in having a successful 2023/24 season.

Well said Tanger. UTMP 🍊

Sometimes you have to go up and down (maybe more than once) to realise things aren't quite right. See Luton Town. Their infrastructure is good, as is their recruitment.
Same is true from Championship to Premier League.
As someone else said, so long as we learn from our mistakes.
We've two forwards who can score goals in JY and SL. Unfortunately not sure we can play them in the same team, so if Jerry goes for a good fee, we can hopefully reinvest it in the team.
Wasn't that the business model?

Great O/P and I agree 100%

As a few have mentioned mistakes have been made, however, it is very easy to say the management selection was wrong WITH hindsight; considering quite a few on here welcomed the appointments of Appleton and McCarthy.
Had either of them had just a tiny amount of success then SS would have got the plaudits.
As it happened neither of them filled anyone with confidence (and I include players and fans alike) so let’s hope the first lesson has been learnt which is Dobbie has certainly turned things round in his brief stint so for me give him the the job full time. Unless of course Simon already has someone in mind but can’t get them until the new season which is why he went for an interim manager whenAppleton was discharged of his managerial role

In the face of these inane ramblings, my advice to SS would be to take a screen-shot of this imbecilic rant, photocopy it, frame it, mount it somewhere on your office wall, and during periods when you're feeling a bit frustrated at the pressure that comes with presiding over the day-to-day running of a football, read what this deluded fool has to say, and be reassured by the fact that there is always some poor sod worse on than yourself.

'...day-to-day running of a football club...'

The best post I've read all season long.

He will be as upset as everyone else that we're down and will do everything in his power to right the wrongs. Now more than ever the club needs our support.

Trust the process, learn from mistakes and go again.

Just think, if Barnes Wallace had given up after his failed attempts what state would we be in?
Failures are in the past are a learning curve ultimately leading to success.

Blimey! Plum of the Day emerges!!
What nonsense - that said I do think a certain section of our missile and flair throwing fanbase should be removed.
