So seemingly even the most ape-like creature can sing the "Ole, Ole, Ole" part, but what are the words in the verse??

We follow Blackpool FC
We come from the seaside
The only team in football
In tangerine and white

The Boycott......... ??????

From the stands of Bloomfield Road

Love it, thanks mate.... From a song perspective, "The boycott years were hard" is a terrible line 😂 but it's nice to have some melody rather than "Seaside... Seaside... Seaside.... Seaside..." - It's going to be spine tingling when the whole ground is singing it all together 👍🏼

'Oyston couldn't get hard'?

It's not so much the reference to the boycott I'm bothered about, it's more the singing of the word 'haarrrddddd' it's just a bit soppy and moist.... Bit like Preston's defence...

We should also not forger the allez allez allez ohh, Blackpool fc, tangerine army.

Still great and easier for the masses to get involved too.

'Woke up this morning feeling fine' was and is an excellent chant so I'm gutted it's been shelved.

All this 'of drawing a line under the Os' etc is nonsense. Ridding our club of 'that lot' was one of the single best moments/feelings since supporting the 'Pool so we should gladly sing that as part of the repertoire.

Love this song
All I need to do now is learn it 🙂

I think the occasional reference back to the boycott in songs is a good thing.
Its unique to us , no one else has done it.
Its part of our history and why we are grateful for where we are today.

I’m sure it’s

“the boycott years are over
We carried heavy loads”

I've had "Preston get battered" ringing in my head for the last 3 days!
I am just the same, I am walking round either humming or a bit of a half whistle the wife shouting at me to shut up!!
It was a fantastic derby day and we need to be well up for again when QPR are in town.

🎶 Come on down to the sea , to see the Blackpool FC 🎶👍🏻

To the ending of "Just Like Heaven":

"Yoooou, soft and lonely... yooou, lost and lonely... yooou, just like Preston" 😀 😕 😩

Yes, but saying “the boycott years are over” makes no sense when followed by “we carried heavy loads”

Also with “over” there is one syllable too many really…

I think it’s “hard”😉
Like your going to just change the words now 11500 people know the orginal and 11450 of which haven't seen this thread.. 😂
Oh and your words are shite. I'll stick to the orginal

If you mean Liverpool, they copied it. It was originally sung by Italian Ultras, then also Spain.

Its from a 1980s Italian disco song. Liverpool fans heard it at a European away game. And copied it.

Virtually every chant is copied/borrowed.
"We are the nutters, we come from the sea," isn't copied/borrowed. It's words added to the instrumental Nutrocker by B Bumble & The Stingers- one for us oldies. I used to love that one from way back in the 60's and 70's.

Exactly. There's loads of options to sing original songs without sounding like you're copying big clubs.

I'll admit though, that I really hate the Liverpool version. Not the chant itself, but the way that cock with a guitar has tried to make it 'his thing', playing it 'live' like he's the second coming of Bob Dylan.

Indeed. Hence I said virtually every chant, rather than every chant. Also, I should imagine "We're from Back Henry Street and we deny defeat...."

Talking of that era, and your username!
