I knew the half time team talk would kill the game. They should lock Critchley out of the dressing room at half time when we are winning

For me, we played pretty well first half. The set up worked and we played direct and then had some nice play of the pair of target men. Ok, we didn't finish them off, but we put plenty of pressure on and Carey almost squeezed a second in with that tight angle shot.

I had no complaints. Ok, the 'quality' wasn't always there in 'key moments' to use Critchspeak but fuck me, it's league 1 - what do we actually expect? Main thing is we create some pressure and we did.

Then ..

Monk changed it a bit at halftime. We fell apart. I cannot help but think that Critchley cannot handle in game tactics. We just did like for like changes as opposed to actually alter anything until Virtue came on and we pulled the midfield into a proper 3.

It was poor.

I think there's a degree of hyperbole in describing it as the worst game ever etc, but 2nd half we struggled in a way that is all too familiar.

1sh half completely dominant but missing the final pass or finish.

2nd half was a disgrace, given how crap they were, shown in the 1st half, we looked clueless for most of it. Wasteful, bad touches, poor choices, no confidence.

Ffs were were 1 up aginst a struggling side kicking to the North stand and that's all we could do, pitiful.

Great post that Pete. If only we’d had a manager with more ambition for the club the players and the fans we would be in the playoffs and feeling positive without a shadow of a doubt. Instead it all feels functional and hollow and we have next to no chance playing like we are, home or away.

For those of a vintage, it’s very reminiscent of the Allan Brown season where we relied on Dave Bambers goals to struggle to mid table playing like shite

We actually started that season well and were reasonably placed when we sold Colin Morris who had been excellent.

Really enjoyed the first half . Front foot attacking football the sort of stuff I’d like to see week in week out apart from the fact we only scored one no complaints at all good stuff .

Second half was a hard watch . I honestly thought we d get another two at least at half time

. I can only assume he told them to defend the lead and we almost got unstuck when they hit the post .

We got the win though so no problem .

To say it was awful all game is inaccurate .

It’s been the story of the season, one good or decent, half seems to be all they’ve got in them. Why? It can’t be fitness because sometimes the second half is the better half.

For a player so clueless, and so bereft of talent, to have somehow landed such a mega-contract for himself, rather than 'weird', the word I'd use to describe him would be: 'jammy'.

Do our players take an oath before every game, thou shalt not shoot. I know the goal was a good shot but how many times do we create a shooting opportunity only to try an extra touch then inevitably lose possession, so frustrating.

First half we were decent but only in a mid table league 1 sort of way, especially down the left with Carey and Coulson, but we had nothing on the right and our crosses were shite. Bees had an absolute stinker and I thought Kouassi showed potential and did really well in the build up to our goal. I thought Carey was our best player and Byers is far better than Norburn, but I have no idea what Critchley said at half time but we were awful in the second half and that was as bad a half of football as I have seen this season. they deserved a point and Lavery! Well, he is just terrible, he either needs a new manager or he needs to be shipped out. Trouble is they all look like that.

They should have had a penalty in the first half when, I think it was Pennington dragged their player down but he got the free kick. Bowyer and Chizzy thought it was a penalty.

I'll be glad when the seasons over and can look forward to the cricket, Wimbledon, The Open, Euros and of course the Olympics, that plus festival season. If we keep Critchley then I am afraid I will be dreading next season, he has lost it with the supporters and probably the players. I think a lot of the players will want out this summer and I have no faith in our recruitment team or the players Critchley wants.
