The advantage of a 12.30 kick off

Could go up to 11th, 6 points behind Rovers (still with a game in hand) and just 6 points behind t'Rovers who have a tough game at Coventry and 3 points behind Forest. Table will make for interesting reading if we get a win.

I was going to that, but the way the trains are at the moment I'm not going to risk it. A 3pm KO would have been fine.

No advantage at all, only just realised as the last week's been a bit up & down for me, why is it 12:30 police?

I can get the train back to Rotherham the same day and be home for 7ish
Unless I am mistaken on your journey plans the link between Mcr Piccadilly and Preston will be by bus.

I have thought about using the train from Stockport ( a so called direct train every hour) but every effing weekend they are doing this since god knows when…supposedly to improve the train time…effing joke.In fact our rail system is the pits compared to most countries and they charge us a fortune for a crap service.….oh and the same applies from Warrington apparently.

It’s great if you live on TGC, watch the match then put for an afternoon of frivolity watching the results and any live games but still home at a reasonable hour 👍

no advantage for me at work until 12 so cant get there had to give my season ticket away 🤬🤬

Good job you have a train buff on here!
Stop moaning about the state of our train services. It is essential to do maintenance just like on the roads.
There is a direct hourly fast service from Manchester to Blackpool this Saturday.
Just change at Piccadilly from Stockport. Easy .

Early start for me, 7.30 from Shipley to Bradford, National Express from Bradford 08.10 to Blackpool arrive 10.45, walk to Armfield Club, match, then Topping street for some lunch a couple in the Tap and Cask, back to the NE Bus stop, 17.15 for bus back to Bradford arrive 19.45. Bus back to Shipley for Dinner around 20.15.

Trains are a nightmare presently.

Football is so much better that bit earlier. Not so many drunken idiots around, you feel as if you have the rest of the day, I bet players benefit from it because they train much earlier in the day and of course in the winter you're not so dependent on the floodlights.

I think 3pm is archaic for football nowadays and earlier in the day is a far better option.
