It was a fanastic night on Friday in the Armfield Club as the Former Players Association celebrated the Anglo-Italian Years with members of the team that made history in 19721 when they beat Bologna 2-1 in the final to become the only team in Lancashire to lift a European Trophy and that record still stands today.
Sure it is doom and gloom at the moment but this is a part of our history that should never be forgotten. A lot of players were there including Micky Burns, Alan Ainscow, Bill Bentley, Terry Alcock, Tony Green, Dennis Wann and the special guest on the night was Tommy Hutchison who has a fantastic fantastic book out called Hutch.
For those of you that couldn't make it on Friday I was there filming it for you all to see, I hope you enjoy watching it and it is available as a premiere from 7.30pm tonight but can be watched anytime after that if you can't make 7.30pm. I will be in the chat at 7.30pm so I'll see you there if you can make it
Here is the link to watch it
