The Big Positive

Is that we are hard to beat and don't look like we are going to have to score 3 to win a game. That is a great platform for next season and now makes summer targets more positionally and style obvious so therefore affords more concentrated targeting as opposed to last summer.

There is still a chance for the Po's of course, but I don't think we'll get there.

The bench lacks 2 strikers at the moment.
we don’t have a really viable option to remove either Simms or Yates if they have an off game.
Plus side is we are really hard to beat and it only needs one of our front 4 to have a great game or take a half chance for us to win

Thought we looked better going forward today but were unlucky to not win. Got to think that this is Fleetwood's BIG game, made even more so with Grayson in charge - they were going to fight tooth and nail for everything.

It's crazy to have this much confidence in a defence as a Blackpool fan. Perhaps our lack of finishing today can be attributed to our lack of clinical edge, I just feel on another day we easily win that and were just unfortunate!

I agree but we’ve had 3 homes games against teams below us and only got 3 points so I’m in agreance with you about playoffs

I actually wondered if the shirtless one didn't do as well today because he is knackered from carrying the line for so long? At the moment, an injury to him and we are toothless.

But there again, maybe it would force Critch to blood some of our great young strikers??

We have far bigger games in this league than playing Blackpool, but you carry on believing what you want to!!

I would like to see it but he will shuffle the experienced players

I've never heard a bigger load of bollocks in my entire life. The Blackpool fixture is the be all and end all of your insignificant existence and its ridiculous to claim otherwise - shame you never win though!

The goals seemed to have dried up in the last few games and when its three points for a win that's difficult to expect promotion.

I agree, there is a chance we could make the play offs, but it is probably just beyond our reach this season due to our inability to get ahead in games and then kill them off.
There are a lot of positives; we have put together a solid base from which we can build on, but we are sadly still missing a few key parts needed to take us to the next level.

Overall we should be optimistic about the future, whilst also acknowledging improvements are still needed.

Agree with most of that it’s now down to NC to see if he can bridge that gap to move us on up . Only time will tell but let’s hope so

Agree with what the OPs saying.

I think we’re still one more transfer window away from balancing the squad. But it’s imperative the club get it right.

What is Robson doing? Kai Kai is really just a passenger in this squad, we cannot afford either of those two to be taking up the wages that could be spent on one or two forward options.

One of the complaint I had at the start of the season was that the spine was completely absent. It’s not now the club have done very well to establish a core of very talented players. The next stage is sorting the forward area out. As I say KK is just a passenger for me now, and are we sure CJ is best employed out wide. I’m not so sure any more. I’d have a mind to try him through the middle a few more times.

Agree with that, however moving forward there is a big chance that Madine won't be here, so he'll need replacing.
If the salary cap is gone for ever I’d like to think we’d match or even improve his deal here to get him to stay to spearhead our campaign to be champions next season

My thoughts exactly Bull.
Yes we’re a difficult side to score against but if we can’t score at the other end we’re going to leave ourselves too much to do.

Not sure I'd trust Critchley to bring in the right players.

I wouldn’t push the boat out who spends a chunk of the season injured. As much as I would be happy for him to stay

Not sure I do either, nor the recruitment team as such. They've had successes this year, but with the numbers you'd expect that. Next summer is going to be much more of a 5 players in of an x, y, z need approach. Can't afford to make mistakes because the signings would need to be of a quality that costs.

Agreed.
