The constant negativity on here

I’d imagine there’s plenty buzzing that we got knocked out last night so they can spout their agenda driven nonsense 🙁
I can’t remember a similar reaction in the last 40 years from the many occasions we’ve been knocked out of the league cup at the first hurdle.
I really really really hope we get a result on Saturday to stick it up you lot.

Now I agree with that, but this is a message board for people with different views you can't just attack everyone who doesn't fit in with your view whether you're right or wrong. No one has any idea how this season is going to pan out, we could end up getting promoted, we could end up relegated in March, there will be lots of disagreements on here and I told you so's but it would be boring if we all thought the same, that's what makes this board great, the variety from sensible to the absurd.

And to think I get accused of negativity but some of the stuff I've read last night beggars belief

I'm fully behind Appleton he just needs some proper support from Bullshit as the squad clearly needs improvement
I agree the squad needs improvement, however Critchley managed to get a pretty tune out the squad Appleton inherited (bar Sterling really) and stayed up comfortably.

This squad is already stronger than the one that finished last season.

As much as he wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea (more so now he’s left), Critchley did a great job and I think that’ll be recognised as the season goes on.

What do you really expect? A defeat at home to a club who just avoided relegation from the football league. An abject performance at Stoke. It’s no different at most other clubs. I remember an article that when Mboro lost at home domestic violence rates soared locally that evening. Unfortunately many people cannot hold back their emotions and have to take it out somewhere. Better on here than a partner or a dog I suppose.

The variety from sensible to absurd is weighted heavily on the latter. That's the problem. Opinions are fine, but some of the the intelligence levels from some posters here and Twitter etc beggar belief how people can actually carry on their own lives . I'd love to know what some of them do for a living, or what school they are still at.

I can't really argue with that 🙃

People just can't wait for Appleton to fail. Last night was just an excuse for them to push their agenda.
They blame him for leaving under the Oystons after 12 games. The same oystons everyone on this board hated and still hate.
I find it really odd they hold him leaving against him when we were only a few months behind him. Talk about double standards.
We knew this season would be harder than last. The second season always is. Compounded with money being spent on infrastructure which should have been spent under the scums reign (a huge reason we are struggling to sign quality players) meaning a lack of funds for players.
Saddler said this pre season why its suddenly a shock is mind boggling.
Will we go down i doubt it. Should Appleton be allowed time to build his sqaud and implement his attacking play. Yes.
But in true AVFTT the moaners will rule the roost.

I must admit I wasn't thrilled about the appointment of Appleton but he deserves our backing for a while at least. That said he has made some strange selection choices in my view, I don't believe Fiorini is good enough, neither is Virtue at this level, Lubala seemed to have a decent pre season but he hasn't had a look in yet. Hopefully results and performances will improve and maybe the negativity will die down a bit

I'll give it at least 10 games before making a proper judgement. Get a proper strike force in and I don't think we're that far off competing in this league again, sadly getting in decent attackers is a very costly business these days.

I am certainly prepared to give the manager time to develop his team
Every game he should and the players should be learning
The first 30 minutes of the season we're good lets build on that
Stoke was woeful never repeat that performance again
Last night 16 shots on goal 5 on target 8 corners no goals
We did something right but not enough
We have a chance to put it right Saturday,
Lastly going to penalties and leaving Yates on the bench unbelievable

No good slating people's intellect when you cannot even spell a simple word in your opening sentence.

Some people moan that much they make me think, Why do they actually bother supporting the team. And they moan more when we are doing rubbish than they praise when we do something good. Gosh, We are lucky to be born as Blackpool fans.

Husband and Gabriel back for the weekend, chuck in a red hot Bowler and things are not as bead as it seems. Have some patience people. This is exactly why I don’t like sacking managers ( or managers leaving ) every two minutes. It leaves so much work to be done for the next one through the door. How many on here wanted rid of NC after 5 or 6 games last season ? Look how that turned out. Chill out and give the board and the manager time an space to do their job.

Grimshaw
Gabriel Ekipeteta Williams Thompson
Connolly Patino Dougall
Bowler Yates Corbeanu

Harsh on Fiorini but we probably need the experience of Connolly and Dougall in this one. The fact Appleton seemed more confident on outgoings than incoming speaks volumes with where we are with recruitment.

i’m nearly with you - i’d go Thorniley instead of Williams and call me an ole romantic lavery in the centre (one last chance) and yates on the left, to start anyway.

I could live with that, and you’ve always got Fiorini to come on and freshen things up !

Yes funny that my missus gave me a clout last night 🤕

I think ‘ I suppose ‘ is probably superfluous here.

You do like to get your digs in don't you? There's negativity and there's insult. We don't need the latter.

It’s possible that the Critchley method was already failing or on the way to failing and that Appletons job has been made quite difficult by the inheritance and the issues we’ve had bringing BFC permanent transfer targets in. No new manager makes no changes at all so changes mean it will most likely need adjustment time.

I’d feel a lot better if we’d managed to properly breakdown a league two team setting out to defend as that’s a training ground scenario we ought to be fully versed upon and be able to execute.

I said on Twitter that the club has lost the feel good factor that's been around it right now, but a few quality signings and a couple of wins and the positivity will be back. It's hard to be positive when we seem to just keep getting rejected and we're losing games.

Agree with this. We are a very fickle audience.

Not in the last few games of the season he didn’t
