Forgive me if this has already been posted, but I couldn't see it:
BFC have sent me an invite to buy a pre match 2 course meal in the Corner Flag lounge, match ticket not included.
I thought - ooh this sounds good to take my wife & grandson, then I looked at the price 😲
Is this correct or have we employed Rick Stein?
Our 2 course meal would cost us £1000 plus match day tickets 🤣
Or am I reading it wrong and does this cover a meal before every home game next season (seasonal ticket)? If this is the case, the deal is of little vlue to exiles & those who can't attend every game.

How to book:

You can purchase a seasonal ticket to join us at The Corner Flag, priced at £400 for adults and £200 for under 12's.

Thats a season ticket.

I guess it's ok value, depends if the food is any good there.

17 odd quid could get 2 courses at most restaurants.

Bit expensive for me ,both hospitality options are a grand, corner flag and 53 club .I liked going in corner flag for quite a few games but not every game so will give it a miss this season .

We did the full hospitality last season twice and decided we won't be back. Food wasn't great, drinks were very expensive, The host and guests felt very forced and both occasions just felt very flat (we'd not been for 10 years and just remembered it better than that). Would sooner go for a nice meal in Blackpool after the game as there's enough nice restaurants and then you're also not tied to a big meal before a game. Just a personal opinion.

Banquet style catering is never really going to be up to fine dining standards and I think the corporate at the Club is of a decent standard.

I can understand your general point, but I think it’s important to also contextualise the purpose of corporate… Essentially it’s there to bring revenue into the Club and so Unlike a restaurant in town, when you eat there, you’re supporting the Club and helping it to progress forward 👍

Yes. Not just covering the cost of the food but a decent margin to pay The Goal Machine's wages.

Wouldn’t want a two course lunch anytime, let alone before getting excited and jumping up and down shortly after.

I think the food is pretty good on the occasions I’ve done it

The advantage of hospitality is

1. Gets you in the mood as you are at the ground early
2. The atmosphere in the room when I’ve been tends to be pretty good

Appreciate though that it’s not for everyone but BFC x3 makes a good point namely that you are helping the club out as well even in a small way . Makes you feel good.
