The day after the day before

Slept on it, thought about it and I have to say I feel like we deserved exactly what we got, Sweet FA!

We just had to win our last game and if we had done that and missed out then fair enough, but the manner in which we played in such an important game was horrible to witness and the fact we were having to scrabble like mad to get the last play off place really should never have been the scenario. Poor tactics away from home throughout the season was the reason and yesterday those awful tactics were in evidence again and for that you can only point the finger at the manager and his 2 sidekicks.

We were never really challenging for the play offs all season apart from the last 5 games when we won 4 on the bounce and then capitulated yesterday. We all know Sadler is going to stick with Critchley next season so we are going to witness the same stubborn persistence with his awful formation, we will need 10 to 15 new players and they will have to learn his dreadful tactics from scratch. If we are mid table by Christmas he will be gone but then we have to get another manager in mid season to take over someone else's squad and reshape them. It would be far more sensible to get someone new in now so he can build through the summer, someone who will reignite the players and the supporters because another summer with Critchley in charge is going to be so deflating.

To be honest if we had won yesterday and won the play offs we would be in real shit street next season as we would be a million miles from a Championship squad and manager, but we finished where we deserved 1.5 points a game, 8th place.

In a way, as much as he talks about respecting opposition and difficult places to go etc etc he actually disrespects other teams by turning up actively intending to not give them a game at all and turn every match into a drudgefest of waiting for the home team to get so frustrated they concede a poor goal.

Not my kind of Blackpool team and definitely not the Blackpool way. We did get what we deserved for being so frit all season.

To be honest I can’t see how we are going to be better next season
There’s no obvious signs of a proper plan rather only an unhealthy obsession with possession, a real reluctance to give youth a chance even when its risk free and a strong likelihood that we’ll lose some of our better players
Low mid-table mediocrity beckons
Can’t wait 😫

So did we win the possession stats yesterday or not? I’m sure he couldn’t wait to download the iPad and find out. He’d be disappointed if not!

I think that too, I think we will be like this season only the other way around, we will be 3 or 4 places above the relegation zone, such are the awful tactics and odd team selection of the dullest manager in the world!!

I think you've slipped over the edge there.

I wanted to hit like, but it seemed wholly inappropriate.

Slept on it. Roll on 2024-25 season. League 1 looks much more open with the teams in it and we will still have a great chance.

It won’t be long before I am ready for 10th August.

good o/p. Can any of these posters who are defending Critchley and how this season has played out care to justify the dross witnessed at so many places this season.

Strong likelihood ?
It's a certainty because they are all loan players !!

How about this Sadler would have sh.. it if we had got into the play offs and then promotion. That's why he is happy with Mr.Boring

Next season will be much tougher than this one imo.Rotherham will be up there as per,so will Huddersfield and so will Plymouth or Birmingham who all have better squads than us.Wrexham and Stockport will spend and improve on what they have and that’s without thinking about Barnsley Oxford Peterborough or Bolton who all finished above us this season (obviously one of those won’t be here).we have Apter back which will be a plus but replacing the likes of Dembele & Byers n co is going to be very difficult,it’s rinse and repeat again heading into the summer where we need a new squad instead of needing to add two or three towards a settled one.

Yep, looking at those teams we could be in trouble

It's strange how others view us . The Reading commentary team and pundits thought we were bang up for it all game and that we got too many men forward in attacking positions, causing us to get caught on the break .They also said Critchley was one of the most animated coaches they had seen in a long while .
That demonstrates what a poor division this has been this season if a performance like that can be viewed positively by the opposition.

Crotch has become more animated as he has gradually recognised both what a sh*t show he has delivered this season and the fact that he and his nodding dogs have been totally incapable of effecting any meaningful improvement.

They were from the very respectable Reading School for the Blind!!
I helped them out white sticks and all

We will have a similarly poor away record next season that will cost us again, because if Critchley was going to change the system on our travels, he would've done it by now. He won't, he's too stubborn. And he'll still be playing a system that causes us to struggle right up until he gets sacked, insisting that we're playing well. It'd be funny if it didn't mean another wasted season.
It's all a bit depressing.

I am sure you aren`t a mind reader TAM/Tim but if you were sadly you could not have presented the view I have held and expressed for some time more precisely.

It`s a depressing prospect for us all.

Unfortunately, I would agree with that entirely.

We've wasted the last 2 seasons by pissing about with managers that were never going to be accepted. Let's rip up the handbook and start from scratch, someone like Pete Wild or Dobbie and just change our current mindset . Someone to get the fans back onside who actually looks like they care, not bothered if we are shite just as long as its entertaining trying not to be.

Another day and I’d still relieve Coach Fritley from his position
Legitimate protests levelled here at Critchley and his apologist Sadler.

But, even the coach's fiercest critics, none cites threatened season ticket boycotts.

Either he goes, or face many empty seats.

Amid the club's tokenistic accountability, fans' economic clout offers the only lever.

Otherwise complicity spells a supine cry.

Like someone addicted to a restaurant, despite the management's neglect.

Terrible food - and such tiny portions.
