The definition of insanity

Mike Davies used to dink balls down the line that both went out and yet stayed in play.
It’s funny you should say that… the pitch used to have a camber on the wing, which obviously helped the ball to stay in play. However we always used to joke about Mike hitting the old clock with his benders.

Years later I had the pleasure of living next door to him for a while. The number of footballs that he used to slice over my fence when playing with his kids was ridiculous 😂

Ollie perfected the art of using basically one tactic but it was a simple one that made it easy for the players to practice and perfect and it was only about 4 passes.
Just saying. 😉

I just thought I’d put that out there for clarification. It’s just I keep hearing people suggesting that it’s “doing the same things over and over and expecting different results”

Oh and Einstein didn’t say it either 😘

👍👍
No he didn't, it was attributed to Rita Mae Brown and I claim my £5👍🏻

You might not believe it but 1st half I said to my mate that I wouldn’t mind Mike Davies hitting a chipped floater down the line to turn their defence instead of that sidewards and backwards shite and watching Beesley getting brushed off the ball like a small child.

Gabriel did it shortly after, gained us 50 yards and we won a throw-in as their centre half had to knock it out of play. We just nodded to each other. If you know you know 😊

I turned to the bloke next to me in the first half after yet another miscontrol by Gabriel and said "you know it's bad when you start to consider if bringing CJ on would make a difference ".

I was wanting us to bring him on early to give us an outlet with the ball. Keep the width and give him it.

Then we brought him on and I remembered why he was sub. However in his defence, in a front 3 he’s going to struggle as he’ll have his back to goal too much which will expose his touch.

I just find it bizarre NC doesn’t know this.

This thread has had it all hasn't it, some interesting language.

Benders hitting old clocks...

Chipped floaters instead of backwards shites.

Thanks for this. It's been irritating me for months. Complete bollocks of a statement.

Perhaps the same could be applied to those that repeatedly call for NCs sacking after a poor performance? 😏
