The Dirty Table

Can't argue with the stats.
I'm sure the coaching team will be analysing the data to establish the reasons. It's costing the club money & our reputation will make us a target for referees.
Are the offending players struggling at Championship level & mis-timing tackles / lunging in / committing cynical fouls etc?
When playing at amateur level on Saturdays, I would say these were the common causes, whilst playing on Sundays it was more a case of hungover idiots looking for a fight 🤣

Ekpiteta having a shit season accounts for a lot of the cards. Hopefully he gets back to last seasons form when he starts playing again.

We've been on the end of some truly awful reffing this season so far. It would be interesting if these types of articles went beyond the basic stats,. Or maybe did an article on the number of crap decisions refs and liners make. I remember Finkelstein the times writer did it a few seasons ago for the PL.ithink most refs were getting less than 70% of critical decisions correct.

I think personally that's it's our general defensive disorganisation that is the problem for all the cards, might have something to do with our injury problems as well

It's no good blaming the refs, all the teams get the same ones. The stats don't lie, we give away a lot of cheap yellows.

Mind you, if someone who had no idea who managed who in our league and were asked to look at which manager they thought had the dirtiest team, I reckon after looking at a photo of the managers I've got an idea who'd they'd vote for.😉

Sorry.
I make that Top of the Victimised Table of Shïte Refereeing and Biased towards the Big Club Decisions.

Absolute joke quite a number of those cards.
e.g. The reds.
e.g. Other clubs’ getting a ‘warning’ chat from the ref for a first offence. BFC it’s instant yellow card for the same.

Yeah we undoubtedly don't help ourselves with a lot of them but the ones I mentioned in particular literally should have been overturned, there's no reason within the rules they weren't, it was a complete farce.

There was a similar decision overturned by var in the prem and spl I think at the time of careys and Laverys was an utter disgrace.

Can only presume they are after the money from fines, as it made no sense to not overturn the decisions based on other calls being overturned.

Agree.
We should refuse to pay the fines.
