The end of the cult of personality

The reappointment of Critchley is surely the death knell for the cult of personality and overall matey matey stuff surrounding “Critch” and all the froth that comes with it. Especially with a new man as director of football. He needs to be judged as being an experienced manager, the apparent best candidate by miles etc etc and on results and performances because a large amount of what he says to the fanbase will be treated as froth and his leeway much less.

Cometh the hour and all that. I’m looking forward to not sitting through pre and post match videos and just judging on what I see on the pitch.

Agree with this. Hopefully results will speak for themselves because all the words just feel irrelevant for now.
