The injuries

Have actually helped Critch into this formation with Embleton and Kaikai having free reign to be creative and do what they do best and you have to hand it the Yates, he has been outstanding as the lone striker. It's a great formation and I hope we stick with it.

Brilliant tonight. Hard to pick a MOM but Gabriel? Ward? Yates? Turt's, I think team of the match. They were absolutely shite too.

Ward bossed the game from start to finish! Yates was superb and everyone else put in what would have been a MOM performance had Ward and Yates not been so good!

I'm starting to get a bit giddy now and thankfully I'm off work tomorrow so CHEERS! 🍺 🧡

I heard Burgess making the same point - the difference with this squad is that everyone who has been called upon has stepped up. The 5 man midfield causes all sorts of problems and could we have done that with a fit Madine?

It's a strange situation isn't it .. the worst the injury list, the better the results and so what does he do when players return who arguably better than the XI who have been doing so well.

We don’t need any more injuries though. The bench is filled with kids. Surely a couple extra players will be close to fitness by Saturday

Going to be a great bench. And that’s where they should be if this lot can keep performing. Let them be the impact subs or options to change formation if mid game our 4231 isn’t working out.

Isn’t this essentially the formation Critch tried to play at the start of the season? The difference seems more to be that Embleton plays the attacking midfielder role better than the alternatives, Kaikai has learned how to come inside, press and be effective, and the central midfield options are a bit more solid.
