After weeks of misery from the stands, a night of pure entertainment in Edinburgh watching The Killers was superb.

I was gutted pool drew Wolves in the cup on the same night but it’s fair to say a night in the Scottish capital and one VERY expensive hotel was the right choice!

Brandon Flowers certainly knows how to get a crowd going. SIGN HIM UP!

If you’ve ever thought about watching them, don’t hesitate, they’re amazing.

Hopefully not back down to earth Saturday!

One of the best cities in the world

Agree seen them Wembley, Bolton & old Trafford cricket ground.

Wembley was great as had James supporting as well

Bolton was bloody awful to get out of at the end... shocking.

Parky, when I watched them at Wembley just prior to gig it was tweeted that they were doing a 40min gig after in the garage club in Islington.

They Went from playing for 70,000 to 800!! Wish I could have got there :( the wembley song they wrote for that gig was superb.

Great band and enjoy

Hot Fuss is a very clever and now almost classic album. Amazing how many young people find those songs resonate with them despite being recorded before they were born.

Massive age range there last night, great to see and as you say, They’re 22 years old I believe which is incredible. I love that most of the songs we can relate to if we listen carefully.

Music is a great therapy 🎶

Gutted I didn’t go, hopefully they’ll be on in the UK again next year - I’m sure they will or maybe it’s wishful thinking🤣

Interesting that they resonate so much in the UK, they're nowhere near as popular in America.

I suppose it's because despite being a mountain west Mormon boy he inherited his brothers Smiths, New Order, Oasis etc records as a teen. I remember when they first came out thinking they were English for a while, they're even named after the band in the new order "crystal" video (great tune).

Anyway , they are great live, when you were young will always be my favorite , they went a bit soft for my tastes after the first few albums.

I was at Bolton also to see The Killers and along with Old Trafford(football as cricket is great)are awful venue's to watch a live concert.
Sound was naff,90 minute queue to get a drink, traffic jams never again as wife wanted to see Pink this year but when we found out it was at Bolton stadium didn't bother.

Glad you enjoyed it and DEFINITELY to right choice despite the expense!!

Not seen them hope to one day👍🎼🎸🎤

I like their music but I thought it was a bit rich of them to start preaching to Georgians how they should view the invading Russians.

Are you saying the cricket ground is a great venue?
I think it's a shocking venue, not enough bars or toilets. The place ends up awash with piss everywhere and you struggle to get a drink, which is perhaps good because of the piss situation.

I watched Arctic Monkeys at Old Trafford in June and thought the facilities were superb. They must have changed as they had two huge bars. As for the toilets, I used the ones under the stand and had them to myself!

Food choice and the music itself wasn’t great mind you. Not an entertaining group at all for me.

Never had a problem and been plenty of times served quickly and no problems with toilets prefer there than any football ground.

Lytham festival is also very good for service and facilities.

All be it a “Tribute” Bands Festival the “Manchester Bands” Festival at Blackpool Cricket Club last Saturday was “Superb” both music and organisationally.
Well Done BLACKPOLL CC🎸🎼🎤🚌🧡

Arctic Mondays at the cricket ground was a real mess.

Noel Gallagher at Wythenshawe Park on Saturday on the other hand was excellent. Really well organised.

Agree on Lytham. Didn't bother with it this year, but it's always been good.

I'm amazed by that mate. We were to the left of the stage standing and it was a nightmare.
Agreed about AM as entertainers. I'll not be bothering again.

I really love The Killers
Saw them at The Emirates in June last year. Electric atmosphere.
Best gig I have been to for years.
But future is unsure with Brandon Flowers struggling to cope with some mental issues. New album was abandoned half way through.

The expense was the hotel really. I don’t mind paying for gig tickets, but the inflation in the area is a disgrace! Wanted to travel and enjoy with a beer so Mrs Park paid 🤣

I bet it wasn’t as bad as Happy Monkeys 🤣🤩

The wife and I sat in the free stands with a beer and a hot dog. I guess that’s the difference. We actually left early as we found it boring! 😳

Oh really? I didn’t realise that. Maybe why he was inviting Russians onto the stage last week. Thankfully he seemed well in Edinburgh, although that doesn’t mean he is I guess! MH is a massive issue and very difficult to keep on top of sadly.

Another classic, but always an odd subject matter for opening your debut album.
Ye. I didn’t realise it was about an actual case until years later and I realised I’d seen the film too, The Preppie Murder, with one of the Baldwin brothers.

The film wasn’t that great but it left me with a very weird feeling. The song does too now, but that makes it more powerful in a way 🤔

Strange subject matter though, agreed.

Cannot stomach that song, or the band, would rather watch us getting smashed 5-0 then see the Killers live, all day long... but if we all liked the same things the world would be a very boring place!
Absolutely agree, although it’s a little unfair that you’re getting to see what you prefer more than myself this year! 🤣

Would you take Pool 5-0 Wigan if The Killers were to entertain at HT for 15 minutes? 🤔

If you can access it, there is an interview with BF in last weekend's Sunday Times. He talks about his personal feelings of inadequacy and how the family had to move from Vegas because his wife could no longer cope with living there, returning to Utah where he had a pretty traumatic upbringing.
