The one Blackpool game you wish you hadn't been at

Pool 0 Brentford 3 in 1980 in front of 3,700, absolutely no positives from the game (or season) at all
Bally, a Blackpool legend returned as manager. It just didn't work that season and we went down to D4
Edit, for some reason that and the home defeat to Fulham in 1978 will always stick in my mind sadly

Funny how Brentford tend to recur on this thread....the 4-0 defeat in 2014/15 (I think) where they had 41 shots and we had one was hard to take.

Although for a real big match sickener, Walsall away when we blew promotion from league 4 is hard to beat..you’re utterly gutted and then head off to a stag night down south where you have the piss taken all night.....

The 0-0 draw at home to Darlington in 84 when Darlo killed the game stone dead by playing the ball back to the keeper at every opportunity. Anyone remember that particular classic?

Strange, because the game I wish I'd been at was the return fixture at Feethams when we clinched promotion
Wembley playoff final against Torquay...took me a full month to come out of my misery.

Rotherham away new years day in 1986. I was hung over and felt dreadful and the result was dog tod. We got hammered 4-1.

1-1 home to Stoke City in April 1978, worst crowd trouble I have experienced at Bloomfield Rd. Remember City fans broke into the groundsmans shed behind the away half of the kop and took a ladder to scale the fence at the front. Trouble all through the game and in the streets after. As I young lad I remember having to roll under a van parked on Bloomfield Rd to escape a battering.
In the Prem season I met up with some Stoke lads who were there on the kop all those years ago and had a beer and a laugh about it all 🍻 but at the time in 1978 I wish I had stayed at home that day 🤕
