The one thing two wins does do is ..

It's the ideal start in many ways. Goals for our strikers, after Yates left. Two clean sheets, one for each of our keepers. Tactics, organisation and fitness all look good, with most of the squad getting minutes. It just keeps the momentum going, Exeter will be our toughest challenge of the 3, hopefully a new face before the game and we can go there and get our first league win on the road.

It’s Critch ball isn’t it? Everyone knows their role and we have a squad that can interchange (which with our injuries we definitely need)

When new players arrive it’s easy for them to slot in. It’s what Kenny alluded to this summer.

It’s now a question of slotting new players who are better than the others - Norburn, Penn and Morgan look good recruits.

We probably need a couple of wild card Prem kids on loan just to add options

spot on

Might even persuade the likes of Trybull to stay as he did join a clusterfuckbucket of a club last season!
By all accounts he did OK when he came on last night. If he's in the squad on Saturday and Critchley may want his experience, he has to be ready to step up. He wouldn't be the first player to have a strop but then knuckle down and make a success of it. I know the odds are he'll be gone soon but stranger things have happened.

.. makes us look like a team on the rise. No one decent would have wanted to join us last season whereas if we had approached a player over summer who was still deciding if to join us then this start will help.
Very true, although some players may also take a look and wonder whether they’ll get in the team. Particular for a striker, you would think.

So Trybull has had a strop can you enlighten us on the details ? I had read he and his agent asked to be kept informed on any enquiries from other clubs.

Thank you!

Who has spoken to Trybull or even seen any quotes from him that imply he’s had a strop or asked for a move? 2+2=10 on this board!

Critch has said he is not his first choice as things stand, he feels he needs to be playing football so has promised to give 100% but wants to be informed if any other clubs show interest in him! How is that a strop?

And what about over the festive period? A couple of Christmas card Prem kids wouldn't go amiss, would they?

It strikes me that there are certain players who will strop at nothing just to get away from a club ...

Going to knock on wood before I say this as we’re only two games in.

*knocks on wood*

But it’s Critch Ball (organization and pressing), but BETTER (attacking threat and use of the ball while in possession).

It is only two games but the passages of play while we’ve had the ball have been spectacular and we genuinely look a threat when we have it, which is something you couldn’t say about most of the games during his last tenure.

3-5-2 is a formation that reallllly suits Critchley well because we can be defensively solid, have three in central midfield to dictate play, win the ball back, and create chances. While also having a strike partnership form up top.

Ticks a lot of boxes… can’t wait to see it continue to get better as the season progresses and it will get better, all of Critchley’s quotes after the wins are about how things can improve… excited is an understatement.

Agree as top ups but I'd sooner have Holmes and Apter given a chance rather than a spotty oik who will use us for 12 months and disappear.
I understand the sentiment there but if that Oik was a player as good as and had an impact like Dewsbury-Hall or Dujon then let’s get go with the best talent available?
If our youth is ready and the coaches believe so then give them a go?

I'm just happy we have a team that actually knows what they're supposed to do, unlike last year when most of the time they looked like they didn't have a clue.
