The Over the line debate .

Yuta Nakayama thought he had scored a second-half equaliser for Huddersfield but Blackpool keeper Dan Grimshaw produced two superb saves to deny him from close range, as the referee and goalline technology ruled the ball had not gone in.

There's lots of pictures that make it look like the ball was over the line and if I was a Huddersfield fan I'd be livid.
But I'm a Blackpool fan and I can see lots of optical illusions.
At the end of the day though we have goal-line technology, it's apparently been checked, so it wasn't a fcuking goal.
End of.

If you look at that dodgy photo, Marvin's arm / hand looks like it's over the line and he was about 4 or 5 foot away from the goal line.... It's an optical illusion....
agreed. watched it a zillion times in slow mo, foreshortened view, looks over but not conclusive. A smidge of the ball could of been level

Anyone who doesn’t think the ball was over the line needs to take off their tangerine spectacles. Give over, we got away with one. It’s been a long time coming.

the goal line is behind the goal on that angle, maybe thats the problem!
That's the thing though... I realise some people think I'm taking the piss here and they're producing what they believe to be conclusive evidence, but looking at something like that from certain angles can genuinely create the illusion that the ball is behind the line when it isn't.

You have to rely on the technology

Follow the science people.

It was over the line.

Fuck it, remember the perfectly good goal the ref and linesman disallowed in the QPR game last season. Easily cost us two points, I guess this is the ‘it evens it’s self out’ rule in play.

Yep was shit when it happened to us. Weird how when you're down there like they are, luck doesn't seem even does it.

After today’s ‘furore’ of over the line or not, it reinforces my belief in ** off all this technology crap that’s been introduced into football over the last few years. Football is a game of thrills, great goals, expectations, disappointments and mistakes by 22 players and 3 officials, it should’ve been left like that imo.

So you look at that photo and your telling me the ball is touching the line yes?
