The penalty

You have copied this from my tweet! Why when I had already posted this in the matchday thread.......

I have made this suggestion a while ago but why don't we have 4 linesmen, 2 concentrating on the offsides and the other two fill in for decisions in those 'blind' quarters. Surely they all can not miss the obvious when needed.

Blatant push and we cannot even appeal against the booking.
The only excuse I can think of is that the ref was completely focused on looking at the ball and the players' feet, and so booked him because there was no lower limb contact.

Shocking officiating nonetheless.

Agree with all the above BUT…..yet again if he had lifted his head up, & had a better awareness of what was going on around him, if he had squared the ball instead on trying to run through a brick wall, we had 2 unmarked players

You have a more understanding nature than me!

Looking at the angle from behind, both the ref and liner should have had clear sight. You can perhaps forgive one not looking at the arms, but both? No chance.

The ref didn't look across to the liner and was too card happy, too quickly for the liner to get involved. Very poor and he should be reported for that- 3 clear errors in 5 secs by him.
