The pitch looked superb.

Which made it all the more surprising whi there was a huge bobble on the West touchline mid first half, their lad did well to control it, it jumped that high. At least knee height.

Probably caused by one of Sonny's more physical moments! Of which he had a few

Likewise RB and it’s certainly the best I’ve seen at the start of a season hopefully it will hold up in the winter months!

Agree. Great job by the contractors and ground staff. Not forgetting our esteemed owner for funding it. Not every football league club gets a complete makeover on its pitch like this.

I cringe when a sliding tackle takes up a flimsy strip of grass in the first home match of each season especially in the corners. This looks the real deal and able to take a slider. Time will tell but it looks a professional job at last. Karl would be calling it a waste of money that could have been put towards a new Ferrari, thank God we've moved on.
