The simplicity of the ‘Hey Jude’ chant.

Seems off singing any song that originates in Liverpool IMO. I know we used to sing Never Walk Alone but we dropped that yonks ago.

The whole idea came to me when I thought that ‘Blackpool’ works even better than ‘City’, as ‘Pool’ more closely rhymes with ‘Jude’ from the original. Also both are two syllables.
 
Out of interest when was the last time we created a chant first? Everything I’ve ever heard us sing has been nicked and plagiarised.

What's the the Kyle Joseph one robbed off?

I never hear away fans doing their version of it - obvs it might be some prem club song I'm not aware of.

United's chant about Ederson Cavani. It isn't a commonly sung one really, as you say not often you hear anyone else do it.

Think that's the case for everyone, even the big clubs pinch some of theirs when they play in Europe, then claim everyone else stole it from them when it spreads through England. Liverpool claiming ownership of Allez, Allez, Allez is a prime example.

I'll give credit that the majority of time it's Liverpool, United, England, Celtic and Rangers though. When a new chant knocks about its usually from one of them.
 
Yeah agreed. We’ve got some bright and talented fans so would be great if we got a couple of our own going. Big boys copying us and singing “That Blackpool song”.
