The sun at it again

Former chef Graham Archer, 57, said: "It's horrible knocking down the old terraced houses. "They are losing the art of building. "It's just not Blackpool putting up something ultra modern."

Yeah we can't have modern buildings in Blackpool

One renter, who did not want to be named, said: "It's a nightmare at times with music blaring out and litter everywhere. "A lot of the houses are drug dens and there are people with mental health problems."

Good job they're going then.

You can't improve the town without removing the old worn out buildings. Sad for those living there. Sad for those in Henry Street too. Now get on with it and make Blackpool somewhere for residents and businesses to be proud of.

By the way, it's nothing to do with the Sun.

Yeah for progress to happen some poor quality houses and some people, most probably on benefits, will have to move.

The number 1 priority for Blackpool is to demolish low quality housing. People deserve to live in better accommodation than that.

Its just a shame that the only driver to demolish these houses is massive projects like the university.
