New breed of coaches
There is a quiet revolution taking place in coaching throughout the Football League, but it’s in the Championship where two of English football’s most promising prospects are honing their craft: Cooper at Nottingham Forest and Neil Critchley at Blackpool. Both are graduates of Liverpool’s coaching academy, while Cooper also led England’s age-group sides, and both worked wonders in their first full seasons in senior management last campaign.

So revered was Critchley’s work in guiding Blackpool to League One promotion that he beat Pep Guardiola to the northwest Manager of the Year award, while Cooper transformed Swansea’s recent fortunes in guiding them to the Championship play-offs. Two young bosses, proponents of the methods that have transformed the FA’s coaching model for young players over the past ten years, they have brought stability to clubs that craved it, and long-term careers in the Premier League surely beckon.

Hopefully with the seasiders

We’ve come a long way with Neil C and he needs another season with us both, for us to find our feet at this level, and he as a manager to find his. It’s easy to get carried away with first season success. The tough season is the next.

I think he’s been fantastic tbh, given the injuries and the gambles on many signings - we need to keep supporting him - he thrives on that. He has always tried to impose a good style of play ethic too even when we struggled

Onwards and upwards

I think he'll be with us for a while. Will honour his contract to 2025, at least, I bet. He's onto a good thing and I don't think he's in a rush. Loads of time for the big stuff later if he wants it. Build a legacy.

“So revered” until we lose one match and then a load of whining fucks post on here that he needs to go 😡
Be very, very, careful with your comments, or else you'll be tarred with the same brush as me and be accused of being a negative whiner yourself.

Never mind, sticks and stones etc eh??
