The worst record lyrics

Anything by Sting usually - this from Don’t Stand So Close to Me is A1 grade though....

It's no use, he sees her
He starts to shake and cough
Just like the old man in
That book by Nabokov

😂

It has to be Life by Des'ree:

I'm afraid of the dark,
Especially when I'm in a park
And there's no-one else around,
Oh, I get the shivers
I don't want to see a ghost,
It's a sight that I fear most
I'd rather have a piece of toast
And watch the evening news.
Surprised this took till post 27!!!!

Yes Sting has to be up there as one of the all time worst,
De doo doo,
Giant steps are what you take walking on the moon,
I hope the Russians love their children too,

The list is endless.

Was it Danny Baker who did a one line review of a Police album?:
“You have the right to remain silent!”

MacArthur Park.
"someone left the cake out in the rain......
I don't think I can take it cos it took so long to bake it and I'll never have the recipe again."

utter shite!!
It has to be MacArthur Park to take the trophy. One of those ‘we’ll replace that with something that’s not ** awful later on’ lyrics that just never got replaced I reckon.

Special mention to disco era James Brown trying to save his career with the ill-fated single “Gravity”. Classic refrains such as “It’s pullin me dowwwwn” and “Hey, the big G” 😂

Great Sinatra song, 'Anything goes'.
How true.
'In olden days a glimpse of stocking
Was looked on as something shocking
Now anything goes.

Good authors now who once used better words
Now only use four letter words writing prose
Anything goes.

The world has gone mad today
And goods bad today
And day's night today
When most guys today,
That women Prize today
Are just silly gigolos. etc.

Cole Porter thank you very much!!

I've always had a burning desire to understand exactly what Duran Duran were alluding to with a "Reflex"?.
