They may be trouble ahead

For me Gabriel was bad defensively on Saturday and poor again tonight. I can't ever remember a full back give so much room down his own flank? Maybe it's time for him to be moved to the wing and relinquish his defensive duties as he is pretty good going forward. Their second goal came about because Marvin was going out to fill the gap he'd left and made that error.

?? Second goal was a pass from the keeper to Marvin who had two Reading players on him and never should have been passed to, he then did too much with it and lost it. Can’t blame Gabriel for that.

Hmm, so where do we start? Grimmy kep us in it with a wonder save at the start of the 2nd half and who was it? Ahh yes Yates bags us 2 and only goes and wins us the game and then Big Marv clears one off the line in injury time too. Always better to make sweeping statements after the game than during I think

Fair point on Jerry but I still don’t rate Grimshaw. Not sure it was a wonder save like Moore did in his cameo. I love Marv he is a rock but he was at fault for their second. As for Keshi he had a mare and the two subs changed the game for me. Hard work paid off eventually and a great night in the end UTMP

Amidst all this ecstacy, is Grimshaw better than Moore? Four goals conceded in 2 games. I do wonder if we were bullied into picking him by MCFC - if you don't play him we'll bring him home! Mmmm..... I wonder!

He’s our player? Not on loan?

Grimshaw made a great save at 2-0 down & it appears is much better with his feet than Moore, a reason he’s been picked.
 
I know Grimshaw got a hand on the first and maybe that looks like he should have done better but it was soft defending in front of him to my mind. The second was clearly down to another individual error from Marv.
 
I just have an issue with short goalkeepers; I know there have been plenty decent keepers not much taller than 6ft BUT, assuming they are in a Championship squad because they are good enough, I like a commanding keeper and the extra reach matters; just purely on science.

Maxwell worries me whenever there are crosses, but I'd never bet against him in a 1 on 1.
Grimshaw appears in the same mould (from what I've seen of him)
Moore saved that shot when he replaced Maxwell and I'm not convinced Maxwell or Grimshaw would have been physically tall enough to reach it.

There's strengths and weaknesses across the three of them and I'll back them whenever they wear our shirt but on personal preference give me a big commanding keeper. I think my man Critchley doesn't agree and he knows far more than me about this game!

Was due but Cant as I have to give my sister away at her wedding the weekend, rescheduled from last year when it was cancelled due to pandemic

Of all weekends to have it
