We barely lose games, compared to Scotland who lose almost every single game.

Rough patch but substantially far better than any other home nation and will be a favourite at the world cup with or without Gareth Southgate.
 
Which genius decided to stick this meaningless series of essentially friendlies at the end of a long season when the players should be resting ahead of the next long season?

Just going back the last 30 games Scotland have only lost 7 times ,
So More made up nonsense in that empty head of yours .

How many have England lost in their last 30 games? Against better opposition because of the nature of the Nations League formation.

Just checked. 30 games ago was Denmark lost 1 0, then Belgium 2 0.

Since then we've lost 2. Hungary twice.
 
We don't half blow at lot of melodramatic hot air off in this country don't we.

France the World Cup holders have just been beaten twice at home but will come good in Qatar,the players for the top countries are jaded and need a rest after the busy schedule from taking part in the Euro's last summer.

Interesting that you say the players are jaded. Are the players from Hungary not jaded as well? It certainly looked as though they weren't.

Okay yeah fair play, you've beaten Armenia twice, Moldova twice, Luxembourg, Faroe Islands twice. With decent notable wins against Denmark and Austria.

But more importantly, 0 wins at Euro 2020 and now not at the World Cup. I'd rather be at the world cup and losing than at home celebrating another side lose. Sad bastards you Scottish lot. Worse than the Welsh and Irish by a mile.

I agree to some extent but these 4 games produced 4 below average performances and my concern was how porous in fact ponderous our game is looking at the moment and we were lucky not concede more than we did whilst at the same time for much of the games we barely laid a finger on the oppositions goal despite lots of possession.
But hopefully we will come good when it really matters.

Hungary didn't play in last summer's Euro's and a lot of their players won't have played as many games in Europe.
 
I was annoyed during the game, but thinking it through afterwards, I realised it is part of a cunning plan from Southgate:

-- to make the world think we are totally crap and they have nothing to worry about. Succeeded.

Part 1 - we have 66% possession by passing the ball around with no urgency or penetration;

Part 2 - if we accidentally find ourselves in an attacking position we pass it casually to allow the defenders time to get in formation;

Part 3 - and this is the most brilliant - we are down to ten men and 3-0 down. Most teams would go hell-for -leather for a consolation goal or even a miraculous victory (eg England's cricketers yesterday), BUT NO -- Southgate takes off an attacker (Saka) and puts on a defender (Maguire).

This sends a message that it is more important not to concede a humiliating 4th goal than to score ourselves.

Then the cherry on the cake - we concede a 4th goal anyway! Brilliant!

In Southgate we trust! 🤣
 
We have some of the best young footballers in the world (although massively overpaid & most with huge egos) - it is our boring coaches who let them down. It must be that modern day coaching manual that they must adhere to at St Georges Park.
Throw that boring book in the bin, and play attacking, entertaining football, whilst defending with tough tackling defenders, like the teams of the 70's - simple innit??

I've been saying this for years, its criminal we haven't won a trophy in my life time (I'm in my 50s) with the abundance of fabulous players we have had at our disposal. shocking management and weak minded individuals.

Doesn't matter who we beat, in your sad bigoted mind you said we get beat every game ,as for sad bastards the whole board must be when they want Preston to get beat every week by anyone ,sad old man.
 
I have seen worse, Hungary beat us 6-3 on my birthday in '53 the only positive from the game was a goal form Morty, other than that the Hungarians dominated the game, we recovered and thirteen years later won the world cup.
