Selling our best player with minutes left in the transfer window
Appointing Appleton on a 4 year deal when it was always going to be a gamble
Failing to back the managers he has put in place, we have a league one squad
His focus is all wrong, why the fk do we need to expand the stadium when we can’t fill it and have a shocking squad.

Either sell up or back the manager sort it out

FEED THE NOBBER TROLL !!!!!!!

The wage budget is higher than last year, just signings sanctioned by MA Poveda, Corbeanu, Williams, Thompson, Bridcutt, Fiorini (injured) Wright are not thus far ready to play 90 mins week in week out.

To be fair, he has no choice but to build the east stand since the current shed is a a "temporary" structure that's been up for more than a decade, same with the training ground, it's not fit for purpose.

I'm not going to be too harsh on the guy, it's very likely he can't afford to lose 10-20 mil a year like 90% of the teams without parachute payments do.

The issue is more how we've spent the limited budget we do have and that comes down to those who are employed to be recruitment professionals.

It may come to this if we end up getting relegated. We can’t stand by and watch the owners take the piss after what we have been through. We let the Oyston’s get away with it for decades but we can’t let it happen again
Don't be daft, completely different situation.

Sadler is a real fan, they are trying to improve us, he's not taking the piss.

Yes some mistakes are made but its not as if they don't want us to be the best we can be.

Poor manager choices no doubt, but he has done and is doing a lot of good for the club.

Silly post.

Why is there a meltdown in November ffs🤣

Cos we are now in relegation and have played well in the first half at QPR and against Coventry and that’s about it. Preston were the better side until Patino scored.

You can blame injuries all you want but we have actually been shite a lot this season. Absolutely Appleton has been let down by the club in terms of backing him as some of the summer recruits look really poor, what is concerning bar Jerry and maybe Connolly nobody is really having a good season if we are being honest and Dougall until recently was terrible and don’t even get me started on Marvin.

Why does he leave it so late to change things if at all? There is a clear lack of discipline which suggests to me an unhappy camp.

But then I go back to the point of would someone else do much better with this current squad and I’m not entirely sure.

I’ve been calm about our chances all season but I am seriously worried about relegation now.

Yeah as said on another thread, a poor choice who lots of fans never warmed to was a silly move, always going to get less time, then things go badly. He wasn't properly backed either.

Really tough hand but we've also had enough to do better, look weak defensively aren't putting in many good performances, getting loads sent off and booked, silly mistakes.

We're in a shit position now...

Stick with him and fans aren't really with him, to survive we probably need fans onside.

If we do stick with, we are in the hope that it'll turn round, it might it might not, in the hope that players returning help, which they might return they might not knowing our bad luck.

If we get rid he hasn't really been backed, had a horrible injury crisis with illness recently clearly contributing, but despite that we still had enough to do better.

But who do we then bring in, they will have to learn players again etc.

Will they be backed in Jan? It's not a time to do good business. Also will they be supported by the fans if we continue to do badly, they would have had more support if appointed when Appleton was, but we're now in a bad moment and patience is now low.

So not really a good time to be learning about players etc.

On the other hand wee might turn it round or a new man might make a difference who knows.

Not a great position to be in and a really poor way to build on last seasons success.

No point worrying about relegation in November

Sell up…💩💩💩💩( clue 4 letter word rhymes with curd) which applies to you⚓⚓⚓⚓⚓⚓⚓

Those of you not concerned about relegation need to wake up.

It’s clearly not a happy camp and apart from
Jerry the majority of players are playing worse than last season and our discipline is concerning which also says to me unhappy camp.

How many games have we played now and the performance has just been unacceptable and dire, it’s certainly more than how many times we’ve played well.

Those pinning hopes on a good window and injured players returning are going to be disappointed. Appleton was failed in the summer and they won’t splash too much cash about in January especially in our position now as other clubs will know we are desperate and add extra £££’s.

Re the injured players who will actually make a big difference?

Keshi hasn’t been the same since pre injury last season.

Beesley is unproven and I think most of us on here could have scored against Birmingham last season they were that poor.

Fiorini clearly has a bit about him but can’t finish but will he hit the ground running after a long lay off.

Stewart well will we actually ever see him on the pitch?

Gabriel is another who is too injury prone and I get having Sterling here last season really made him up his game and performances. I know he’s a fan favourite as he’s brilliant with the fans and for selling his clothes range but let’s look at his appearances and he’s clearly injury prone.

Bridcutt added some experience but is another one with injury issues.

It’s looking a bit bleak too me, many fans don’t want Appleton now and never did. I was willing to give him a chance but I just feel he’s lost the dressing room which explains the poor performances and terrible discipline but he has been let down by the board in terms of recruitment so would anyone else do better with the current squad? I’m not sure.

Agree with all that but still think another manager would play a formation that suits what he has better I.e. a 4-4-2 or 3-5-2 perhaps.

He continues with the garbage 4-3-3 playing strikers out wide etc …. Absolutely ridiculous . He appears to have no idea …

I’d say every fan is concerned about relegation right now. It’s just a case of level of concern?

I’m not full on panic button yet - concerned yes, however in certain games we’ve looked a quality team so a more settled team is a must.

As for idiots like Jord who wanted Critch sacking in Div 1, I’ve more concern at certain posters reactions to our owner

And they say education standards aren’t slipping.

Lets be honest, the school system in Preston isn't the best........Jord, still has 3 years to go before he can leave at 15 and get a job 'on' the market
