It happens. Same as when a manager walks for another job. It's a sports-based industry.

You could say do Cardiff appoint Mark Hudson without a transfer ban in place knowing he'd be someone just grateful for the opportunity. In the same way would Chelsea have had Lampard in charge when they couldn't sign players.
