I cant say I know Haythorthwaite, but he spoke fairly, honestly, giving an insight into football ownership as he sees, the points he made were fair, and I thought well put over... I am disappointed at this dislike of Fylde, I go and watch them with my son, from time to time, as I enjoy watching football, in clean modern surroundings... Your comments regarding Fake club?, you mean like Man City, Liverpool, Man Utd, Chelsea Wigan.. etc, all rich people's playthings, that until the rich bloke took over in each case, were relatively unsuccessful, Liverpool, no title in 30yrs, City were in the 3rd Div, Wigan didn't exist, Chelsea, were 2nd Div..... Dog food Dave, can be what he wants, if you don't like it, ignore him/it,Absolute verbal diahorrea from a whopper who really thinks he's something. Horrible man. Fake club.
Wigan were in the League since the 70s TBF.I cant say I know Haythorthwaite, but he spoke fairly, honestly, giving an insight into football ownership as he sees, the points he made were fair, and I thought well put over... 1978, but were never going any further than say Rochdale, or Scunthorpe, a rich benefactor sorted that, look at T'RoversWigan were in the League since the 70s TBF.
That seems a fair decision, rather than the character assassination, and assumptions made above, by someone, who probably has never met him, (I haven't either), I based my replies on the video I watched only...I just can't warm to the guy and his prominent Brexiteer status and subsequent messages haven't made me change my mind.

Just another factor in the overall deal. He's got increasingly bitter and his recent pop at Blackpool and innuendo on pay cuts just sounded petulant.Wiz
I am surprised that you would think less of a person because they were of the opinion that Britain would be better off out of the EU.
You won't be alone but I am surprised.

True enough.I thought his reference to pay cuts at Blackpool was very poor form whether or not there was any truth in what he said or not.
Putting that and all other reasons, I am surprised that you would factor in somebodys opinion on Brexit when rating a person.
No big deal, I am just genuinely surprised and I thought you'd have plenty of good pals who were Brexiteers and plenty of good pals who were remainers.
Tony Rodwell and Dave Lancaster. They folded because the League wouldn't let them in.Anyone remember Colne Dynamoes? Fylde will go the same way
add the Chinese to your middle-east/Russia list. Otherwise, exactly right. Both DH and AP two men who were formerly Blackpool fans have basically thrown millions of their own money in to their respective clubs, and took them far further than their small fan base's could have ever imagined are now both saying the same things, football is not sustainable in it's current format and change needs to happen immediately, the CV19 crisis has simply accelerated the situation. Look at Simon Sadler and our situation right now, there's no money coming in to the business and hasn't been for some time now and yet he is paying money out week in, week out, the buck stops with him and he's the one having to write the cheques, nobody outside of the Middle Eastern sheiks and Russian oligarchs have got a bottomless pit of cash to spend and able to sustain shelling out cash for a sustained period of time. Wigan will be the first of many and the next couple of years we will see a number of clubs going tits up, and lets not forget that our club is not immune to that danger.
I'd be interested to see how many clubs ACTUALLY go under.
His estimate of the value of BFC was way offOne already has (Oswestry).
Krasner has said some interesting things overnight about this. He thinks several League clubs are in danger and that at least one other Championship club are contemplating administration. I wouldn't trust him or his judgement very far, but his views are presumably based upon SOMETHING.
1966, I could add American tekkie millionaires and a few others nationalities but I'm sure you get my drift.add the Chinese to your middle-east/Russia list. Otherwise, exactly right.
Played against them in the North West Counties a few years back. Enormous slope from end of the pitch to the other.Anyone remember Colne Dynamoes? Fylde will go the same way
