Thommo

Bob Stokoe and Alan Ball on the managers side of should never have returned
Bally was the highest paid manager in English football at Blackpool. No wonder he came back. He signed Willie Morgan on high wages and let him turn up for training when he felt like it. Bally was a great player but nowhere near being a great manager.

Never coached professionally, but lives locally, Trevor Sinclair - is probably the way to put it.
Uefa qualified coach who's played in the Premier league is another way to put it? Don't understand how this is a far fetched idea. Maybe doesn't fit your agenda

Doesn’t mean anything in the coaching world. Taking nothing away from Trev but as a club we need better. Someone who’s only coaching experience is with kids at an amateur level should not be on the first team staff of a championship team.

Thats funny sidney, Thommo was coaching bjff's under whatever age it was(kids) when he got a coaching job at Blackpool, he also did a bit of coaching with kids at BWFC if I remember rightly as well. I'm not too fussed who gets it as long as they are competent at what Criiers wants. Fail to achieve he will no doubt get it on here, like baying parents watching their 5 year olds, like phil and blood.

Well I'd quite like an experienced coach to support Critch and if he takes defeats on the same way we do, then I think that's a bonus.

ST never did anything but give 100% to us in sure very difficult circumstances.

Critch will take the dispassionate view, but if Thommo wants to come back, it's got to be worth a conversation.

Quite positive that he was part of the youth set up at Bloomfield Road before making it onto the first team set up, no? If Trev was already in and around the club or had coached professionally then fair enough.

I agree with you to a degree, I’m not to bothered who gets it either but it needs to be someone with great experience like Calderwood or McCall and I just think Thommo fits it perfectly.

He was manager of Lancaster .

He's very knowledgeable and a great bloke.

OK then ex world Cup and premiership start Trevor Sinclair, that better?
Sure sounds better but considering his coaching experience is very limited he'd be better off getting his qualifications and coaching badges and starting somewhere a long way further down the ladder than the championship to earn his stripes. Great players don't always make great coaches and managers, in fact most of the best managers and coaches were bang average players at best.

I’m sure he is very knowledgeable, I’m not saying he isn’t. But he isn’t the standard of coach we need/want right now.

As Bull says above, he needs to go through the system and earn his stripes before being a member of the coaching team at championship level.
