I agree that this is not a funny episode and that people who cause such distress ought to face the full force of the law. That said, when teenage joyriders cause injury or death by reckless driving do we ever see headlines that start with "Legally British joyriders...."? The use of language here is chosen deliberately to cause anger at the perpetrators for being illegal immigrants. Should The Mail write up a story (small paragraph on page 25), stating that a man stopped a thief from running off with an old lady's handbag, is it likely to open with, "illegal immigrant steps in to save the day for Mrs Bloggs..."?

From the Sun to the Times they've all got their agendas.

I just think that some can't wait for headlines like this so they can jump all over them.

Personally I think the headline was wrong but also the reaction
