First 30 mins - what is this.. Why has Critchly got a job... All we're doing is inviting pressure - why isnt Kouassi or Dembelle starting... why is Thompson on the pitch
30-45mins - bossing this now - wow what link up play by Thompson n Husband n Rhodes
45 - 75 mins - Dembelle on, what a player what a goal. Cruising to victory here.
75 - 90 mins - WTF is happening.

To be fair both teams were shit in the first 30 minutes, the last hour was an exciting football game.

Thats pretty much the season as a whole so far. One minute it feels like we might have turned a corner and start putting some results together, next minute we are shit and want everybody out.

Got a mid table season all over it.
If we're mid-table at Christmas, I fancy us for the play-offs. It will require Joseph to come good.

Even now - 1/4 through the season - the manager doesnt knows his best 11 though. Lots of frustration, lots of back passing, lots of meh football sprinkled with some quality. All very frustrating

There isn't a best 11 thats the whole point. Football is a squad game, best 11 to beat a team changes game on game.

Dont know how anyone can blame the manger when Morgan gave the ball away so cheaply OUTSIDE their box then Casey fails at al levels to deal with the attacker.

Spot on.
Some people soon forget after 11 league games and 3-4 cup games Critchley still doesn’t know his best starting 11 which I find pretty baffling.
Win lose draw the team never stays the same and like yesterday the better players who can change games seem to be bench warming.

He's filling in while the likes of Gabriel Lyons and Joseph get fit. We miss them.

Absolutely. This best 11 thinking no longer exists in the modern game .
That's ok if you can have the likes of a Sterling, Grealish and Foden on the bench. We do not have that luxury and should pick our best X1 when fit. It would also help if we played them in a system where they could actually function as a team.

Call me old fashioned but iam not having all this bollox that there's no such thing as your strongest 11. Back in the day you never changed a winning team regardless of opposition. Everytime we threaten to put together a run of results he can't ** help himself but to fuck around with team selection.

He doesn’t believe in a best 11. And doesn’t seem to recognise that it's impossible for the side to get settled when it's constantly changing.

This is League 1. Do we have players who are good enough to play different positions and who can perform even when they are not playing every week.

As related follow-on to the thread title, as a brief musical conundrum, can anyone name the David Bowie track from the mid-'70s/late-80s which clearly begins to prey on Critchley's mind during the final 10 minutes of every game we play?

Never seen that before. We take Carey off and he comes straight on for them judging by their shooting over the bar.

Every time it looks like we have turned a corner, Critchley sabotages it.

Critch lost it by swapping the wing backs to be honest. Someone said Thompson was injured? Not sure about that.

Connolly isn't a wing back unfortunately. And him and CJ not being good enough defending the wide spaces cost us two points. That's on the manager, not CJ or Connolly.

Morgan (and Connolly) coming on was a big mistake....
Morgan has done nothing to impress thus far in a tangerine shirt.
The team shape and dynamic changed immediately and cost us 3 points.
Casy's error for the first was disappointing, especially as he has been a consistent performer this season.
