Three points behind and other teams three games in hand.

After Tuesday night Portsmouth will have played 30 games. More than anyone else in the league
I can’t see any team with 3 games in hand only port vale who are 20th in the league
 
Exactly. We’re as good as any of those in there and better than most. This is the stage where it should start to come together. There are still going to be frustrating games and results but it’s ridiculous to think we won’t be up there come end of the season.

You can be positive all you want but the fact is Nigel Worthington would have got into the play offs with this squad. Ekpiteta, CJ, Gabriel, Norburn and Husband all promoted at this level. Then throw in Rhodes and Dembele. We should be doing a lot better. Critchley's mismanagement is going to cost us this season.

Oxford host Portsmouth on Tuesday night, that will be an interesting watch, a win for Pompey would help our cause a bit.
Thankfully we can still make an impact with our next two games, having to play Stevenage and then Oxford will be make or break.

It is complete fabrication of the facts and the reason I included you in my reply is due to my unwavering admiration for your negativity and it is somewhat eclectic of your posts.

Am sure Barnsley fans said the same about a home defeat to Exeter and Oxford fans thought well if Blackpool can go to Bristol Rovers and get a win .....
 
Plenty of points up for grabs,unfortunately it’s not in our hands,all we can do is win and hope teams around us drop points.Saturday was one of them days where we could have closed the gap.
 
Keep your nerve & be positive.
A couple of signings before the end of the week & with 51 points yet to play for, I would sooner bet (I don't bet) for us, than against us making the play-offs.
The Nobbers are near suicidal & want their manager sacked & yet they're only 4 points of the play-offs! Come on, we've got to be better than that!

It's interesting looking at how we compare to other sides in the Top 6 and most have drawn 7/8 games, the problem is we are 2/3 games short of wins as opposed to defeats, another 9 points and we'd be knocking on the Play Offs and if you look back at those 3 games we lost in December there actually is the real problem.
 
If we we take 10 points from the next 12 - like we have from the last 12, we will be in the top 6. I'll be surprised if we can do that but with this squad we are capable - Saturday is a big game. The team is improving and we now are almost injury free - we are certainly not out of contention. The people who say our season is over are just incorrect, the last two times we got promoted from this division we were actually in a worse position at this stage.

Some would like us to fail so that they can say that they were right about Critchley - it is utterly bizarre. He doesn't get everything right but he is a good manager as he demonstrated when we got promoted at the first attempt last time around.
If I received an offer where my salary would be doubled or trebled I would leave my current job - who wouldn't? And yet some can't get their heads around this. The club got compo as well. We have tried some other managers who were massively inferior to Critchley. get behind your club and help to create some momentum - we are on a run atm.
