It'll depend on if they serve a "substantial" meal with each drink I suppose. What does this mean for the Armfield Club
Sounds lovely!Cue lots of pubs advertising large bowls of Guiness soup with peanut and crisp croutons that you can choose to add yourself.
Not allowed I'm afraid they don't have it in their licences to serve food no sneaky way round it I'm afraid.Cue lots of pubs advertising large bowls of Guiness soup with peanut and crisp croutons that you can choose to add yourself.
They used to do that in a Bar where I live, in those days it was Egg Mayonnaise with some salad. It was very successful until a drunken customer actually ate it ! It had been in and out of the Fridge for about 3 weeksWhat they used to do in Portofino's, Lytham was at closing time people would flock there and order a garlic bread or pizza between however many and stay till 1 getting ratfaced. Cops used to come in and as long as you had a plate in front of you they could do nothing.
Saturday according to the newsDoes anyone know when we are going into tier 3?
Was a tongue in cheek comment but wouldn't put it past a few pubs to try something similar. Not allowed I'm afraid they don't have it in their licences to serve food no sneaky way round it I'm afraid.

I'll be getting fat eating out at all these pubs. Thank the Lord gyms are still open! Was a tongue in cheek comment but wouldn't put it past a few pubs to try something similar.
That was more Ninos than Portofinos who would stick an extra few bottles on the bill anyway. What they used to do in Portofino's, Lytham was at closing time people would flock there and order a garlic bread or pizza between however many and stay till 1 getting ratfaced. I fell down the stairs a few times!Did anyone ever pay in Nino’s? Seem to remember people doing a runner all the time.
I remember four of us doing it and all ending up in a heap at the bottom of the stairs. He always let everyone back in the following week though.I fell down the stairs a few times!
The council have already had a few pubs who don't serve food asking if they're alright to serve pizza as it's a substantial meal. Not allowed I'm afraid they don't have it in their licences to serve food no sneaky way round it I'm afraid.
