I went to see Stoke City several times at the old Victoria ground in the late 60's. Had relatives in the area at the time.George Eastham a Blackpool born lad was playing midfield for the Potters. He used to live on St.Annes Rd with his dad who was also an England international like George. Further up the same road lived Stan Matthews .

2018 on a visit to see my wife’s relatives in Poland we went to the Slask Wroclaw V Lubin game.
This was the equivalent of Pool v pne.
A fantastic stadium and pyrotechnics show in both ends of the ground.
A 4-4 draw in the end.

Liverpool vs Blackburn in the rovers end around 98 , think they lost 3-0 with Paul Ince scoring for Liverpool. Rovers fans were not happy, they could see the writing on the wall that their glory days were over.

Also went to an Everton vs Man City game in the mid 90s at Goodison, can't remember much about it other than it was pissing it down and the streets around Goodison had the highest concentration of dog shit I've ever seen.

Many a Man U match at Old Trafford as I was at college there, including...

Man U 3 — 5 West Brom on the 30th December 1978. Yes, THAT West Brom team... Regis, Cunningham, Brown, Batson, Robson etc.

Everton v Villa in a League Cup semi.

Arsenal 2 — 0 Villa, at Highbury on 2nd May, the final day of the 1980-81 season, as Villa won the First Division because Ipswich lost. Stood on the Clock End with the Villa fans almost cutting their wrists at half time because Villa were two down and Ipswich were one up at Middlesbrough. Of course they went berserk after each Boro goal was announced on the radio, as John Motson famously recorded.

Arsenal 0 — 1 Everton (John Hurst) at Highbury on the opening day of the 1969-70 season when Everton won the First Division.

Newcastle United 1 — 0 Liverpool, 25 September 1976. Micky Burns was playing for NUFC.

Man City 0 — 1 Luton, at Maine Road on the season’s last day in 1983 when Raddy Antič scored to keep Luton up and relegate City and David Pleat skipped across the pitch. Stood on the Kippax trying very hard to conceal my amusement.

Tranmere v Hereford in the early 80s when Tranmere were on the cusp of going bust and a mate wanted to get Prenton Park in on his list of grounds visited before they could have gone out of the league. Missed our planned Liverpool v Man U visit for that.

Quite a few Bury games but those are the highlights.
