Timing of sadler takeover

Apologies if this has already been discussed but with the talk of how much it is costing pilley to keep Fleetwood going through the pandemic I can't help but think how lucky we are that sadler took over when he did and just having the club in good shape when we come out of all this will be a bonus in itself. Just imagine if oyston was at the helm and leading us through this pandemic. Would have been a complete shitshow and i doubt we would have survived.

A superstore would probably own the land now knowing how the stains operate.

No disrespect, but thats well in the sphere of complete poop.

However, Pilley is overpaying for a crap FT (football team) and time will surely come to reassess.

Sends a shiver down the spine at the thought of the Oyston's still being in charge during this.

It is entirely possible we'd have gone the way of Bury, there definitely wouldn't have been the investment necessary to see us out the other end of this cleanly and in the years after this the state the club would have been in is a terrifying thought. Just look at the state the club was in when Sadler took over and that was without a global pandemic.

I am sure SS is doing very well in the financial markets.
The Covid has had little affect on many overseas stock markets and the USA has hit an all time high.
Not sure how much Pilley has been affected recently.

Puts it into perspective after a couple of poor results. I will be happy with a mid table finish in the grand scheme of things considering where we could have been.

True but I do find it quite depressing that the moment we got our club back this happened and now haven’t been to watch them play since March. Feel for Simon as well, I’m sure he’s happy but this isn’t exactly what he bought into

For the first time since he moved overseas SS has also relocated to London now due to the situation in Hong Kong.

The timing of that has fallen for us.

Him being in the UK is a boost for us.
Absobluddylutely.

My big fear was running the op from HK with a couple of trusted people wasn't going to work long term and that he'd sell up- he still may of course, but less likely if the above is true and perm.

I sure about that, Rekt? He’s paying 40pc taxes now?
I am sure.

moved himself and his family out of Hong Kong, still has some business operations there. Don’t know the ins and outs of it all but they’re the basic facts.

the writings on the wall for Hong Kong, many westerns think the CCP take over will be sooner rather than later.

No reason to disbelieve you and he certainly isn’t the only one moving out, but Segantii is still very much a HK operation. Surprised he would choose London given the unfavourable tax situation and physical/time difference separation from his traders

Yes he’s still going to have an operation there, but I think he needed to start the transition away from HK.

Not sure why, was just told he’s set him self up in London.
