Dougall really needs to step up and take his chance today, can't remember the last time he had a good game.

I feel virtue might play well today and will be interesting to see how kouassi does

Critch clearly doesn't rate Thommo at all, so he has no natural wing backs apart from Gabriel & Lyons and you would have to hope that once Lyons is mentally right to return he will fill one of the places and Gabriel when he returns, but that will mean leaving out the likes of CJ and Dembele so I am still not sure why he is persevering with this formation with the players we have? Hopefully I'll understand better by 5pm this afternoon.
 
3-3-4 Neither Dale nor CJ can defend. That’s out and out attack in the hands of some managers.

But he’s got 3 dogs of war in midfield so no reason to ask them to track back. Just go for it.

It’s hardly a surprise… Thommo is a million miles away from being a pro-football player and needs to go back to football school, before he ever sets foot on a pitch again.

Hopefully the ‘backs’ element of ‘wing-backs’ won’t be necessary today.

The manager obviously has his reasons and he’ll sink or swim based on his own decisions.
 
Could be sticking with the 3 at the back but being more attacking with CJ and Dale playing a standard wide midfield role rather than the ‘wingback’ role. Might not be a bad ploy if we’re expecting to dominate possession at home.

Line up looks a bit of a worry to me. A big risk starting Kouassi IMO.
Should have had more time coming off the bench first probably.

That in theory is a very attacking 3 5 2.
He's gone workmanlike with the midfield 3 and put two wingers at wingback.
A bold move, might actually work if he plays Hamilton on the left and Dale on the right and we get some crosses whipped in quickly.
If he plays them as inverted and slows the game right down giving the front 2 no good early balls then I fear the worst.
 
Beesley not even on the bench, Connolly, who appeared undroppable is on the bench, no Morgan at all, Weir on the bench, that is some drastic change around.
