Lavery didn't really fit in on Monday I thought. Critch has picked the form players, really, who are both good in the air, which might be needed today. So it makes sense, in hindsight.

Why will Jerry leave? We won't sell him at a knock down price. And he might well be a different proposition next season, with a fresh start and a rejigged formation that provides better opportunities.
 
Madine in for his height in defense. I remember them having a giant up front..
If all goes well could possibly swap both strikers last 20 minutes.
Imagine facing a fresh Lavery and Yates for the last 20 mimutes
Hopefully another goal fest for the mighty
 
I want Jerry to play, but there was absolutely no need to change the front 2 today. It’s defensive yet again, because nobody can argue that Madine is a greater attacking threat or has better movement than Lavery or Jerry. So one dimensional. Critch is obsessed with playing Madine.

Dont agree with one iota of that...Lavery worked his conkers off Monday and was part of a team that won convincingly...to swap him for Madine was ridiculous

Opinions. I'm not sure Lavery had an attempt at goal, and you have to wonder why. I think he was involved in one goal. Not enough from him, for me.

Voy, you need to think more about what Lavery did in terms of movement & pressing, that created space and opportunity for others. It’s the same with Jerry. I don’t get how fans are so narrow in their view of players.

Don’t think Madine has won a significant header yet.

I would have started Jerry and Beesley myself today. I agree about the movement, I just felt Lavery didn't do enough. Birmingham were wide open. Lav and Jerry are both low on confidence. It shows. Both need chances to play, and I'd like to see how Jerry goes with Beesley.
 
Madine was abject in that half and must go off asap...Madine has given the Luton defenders a day off thee with zero movement...lets get Yates and Lavery on and go for it..work work work

This. His reliance on Madine is as much about what he can do in our own box as in theirs.

We are quite a small team really. The back 4 are a decent size when we have our makeshift fullbacks on, but our midfielders are all lightweights. Even more pronounced if we have the likes of Gabriel James or Garbutt on thr pitch.
