Tom Ince

I never booed him today but his last few months with us left a sour taste in my mouth. I felt he was being played irrespective that some of his performances were very poor. A lack of commitment and passion. A lot of waving his arms about and sulking. He had talent but was a luxury we couldn’t afford in a struggling team (Reading may know that feeling).!

The abuse he got today from the North was an absolute fecking disgrace

I can only assume that those people giving it to him are Johnny come lately fans who didn’t witness him playing for us and the exciting football he played

It was utterly embarrassing . Tom Ince gave his all every time he played for us didn’t celebrate when he scored against us and deserves respect

I was there at the Barnsley away game and I can categorically say that whatever he did doesn’t justify subsequent abuse

He was absolutely fantastic for us and should be remembered for that and the respect he subsequently showed us

Those in the north today giving him abuse hang your heads in shame

You clearly weren’t fans when he was doing the business for us week in week out

I don’t recall any lack of trying on his part when he played for us

The team with Tom Ince and Matt Phillips et al was a superb attacking free flowing football team ……..

I don’t remember Matt Phillips getting the “Boo Treatment“ Tom Ince got today …….

It was his dad that soured things with the fans ……..

Having said that ….. Good win today …… and Fxck Off Paul Ince !
When Matt Phillips scored against us he celebrated

When Tom Ince scored against us he didn’t

People have short memories

Was never a fan of his - gave his best when he felt like it ie when the camera’s were there - one of his best performances was at Fleetwood - that was his level

He’s made of jelly and a sulky modern day brat - there said it

In his prime when we were good back then Tom Ince was 10 times the player Josh Bowler is or probably ever will be.

Unfortunately for Tom his whole career (albeit he's probably VERY rich) is that he has consistently been badly advised and made terrible choices in football terms.

But he was absolutely world class (IMO) for some of his time for us. He really was.

There was no reason to boo Ince Junior today. I understand giving a go at his Dad, but not Thomas, come on, he scored at Wembley for us and he scored loads of goals for us. I was embarrassed by that today, at least we won!
Agree 100%

He was a class player for us. ‘Edge of your seat’ stuff when he had the ball. It was a welcome change from some of the dross we had to endure under previous regimes. I imagine many of the young ‘Football Factory wannabes’ booing him yesterday have never even seen him play for us.

Well this c*nt in the West sings it and is entitled to do so. my family and I boycotted as much as anyone else and quite happily will look anyone in the eye.
If you boycotted then you defiantly are not a cahunt or a 🍄🍄🍄 and you are also fully entitled to sing “we got the Oystons out like we said we would” another chant they seem to think they are entitled to sing 🤬

He really wasn't 'world class'. To describe him in that manner is frankly laughable. He has been to several clubs and had many chances. He wasn't good enough at any of them because he is and never has been 'world class'. Making bad decisions or being badly advised does not make you an average player.

I enjoyed watching him play here but he spent much of his time sulking and whining like his dad and that annoyed me.

I didn't join in with the chanting yesterday but it didn't bother me in the slightest.

You obviously didn't watch him very often. He was a key part of the 11/12 side that played some of the best football I have seen from us.

He was a young player with a lot of potential. He should have gone to literally any other club than Stoke.

I did actually see him play a lot - Matt Phillips on a different level though at that time they were rated the same

Oh yes, he scored a free kick and made one at Bristol City Away - won 3-1

I guess I praise work rate over flashiness - he had ability but couldn’t be bothered - it’s his mindset

Definition of world-class
: being of the highest caliber in the world a world-class athlete

I just can't see it... guess we'll have to agree to disagree.

For me "world class" means someone who should expect to start most games for almost any team in the world, club or national, which isn't to say they have to be the absolute best in their position in the world, but they need to be close enough that it's hard to tell the difference.

I'm afraid Tom was never near that level.

I do feel for him a little bit. Loved watching him in Tangerine. He put together a 12-18 month run as good as any I've seen from a Blackpool player in the last 25 years, and that's including Charlie, Wes, Brett. He was well on the way to becoming a top, top player until he fell victim of Karl's love for all things cheap and his Dad's constant meddling. The attitude it seemed to imbue him with does seem to have gone with him everywhere he's been since, though, and that's all down to him. Think all involved would have been far better served if he'd gone in the January Appleton left.

A shadow of his former self on Saturday and it's sad his Dad has had such an influence on his career decisions.

He was better for us than Matt Phillips.
