Good 2 hour interactive session tonight between BFC Board (Ben Mansford, Brett Gerrity and Linton Brown) and fans reps from BASIL, BSA, BST, Former Players Association, MSG, TKs. Tangerine Seasiders, Yorkshire Seasiders and non-aligned fans. All fully minuted by PA and minutes will be published before the week-end.

I have it on good account The Tangehadeen aren't happy not getting an invite 😳 anybody go? can we have some snippets?

How many groups do we have for a club our size it's insane.
Don't get it I could set one up and then ask for an invite needs shrinking now the stains have gone.
Can understand most of the groups, including the regional supporters groups. It does though seem to be quite a lot now. There appears to be a new group too, Tangerine Seasiders?

But why should a supporter from Yarkshire have more right than someone form Layton because they are part of a group.
Tangerine seasiders is a new one on me never heard of them.
Ditch the lot and just use BST who have fully paid up members with a voting system etc and I presume most from the other groups are part of it anyway.

Anyone should have the right to set up a supporters group and have their voice heard

‘Non-aligned’ fans make up the vast majority and are grossly underrepresented. Already creating a them and us environment. 8 supporter groups is way too many for a club our size.

Does anyone know why so many groups were created, as some are clearly not based on geography?

The current set up as regards who gets invited to meetings is a joke by any standards but it ain’t my battle as I always get a wild card invite from Steve so I can’t grumble ..enjoyed it tonight btw 👍

Can we have 5 highlights - sentence for each!
1 - In the 60's Ska was the music that gripped people around the world
2 - The Windrush generation introduce Ska to Britain
3 - Skinheads loved the music and joined Jamaicans on the British dance floors
4 - In 1979 2Tone continued to bring black and white people together
5 - Today Ska is enjoying a revival with many bands touring around the world

Blackpool Association of Supporters in London, it has been going longer than just about any other supporters group and I am proud to have been a member for many years 👍
Sorry Herts, also the most “detached & deluded” when the fight with the O’s went “toe to toe”
But please feel free to blow smoke up your own arises👍🙄🚌

Aye, indeed, there appears to be a lot of groups to say the least and as was also said, "non-aligned" will represent most fans. Tangerine Seasiders appears to be a facebook page. It appeared on there not too long ago. Tangerine Seasiders

WTF are you going on about Bus? It's a long standing supporters Association that is for the many Pool supporters who live in London and the south of the Country, of who many attended the Court Cases at the Rolls on every day it was on. Plus someone asked who they were so I answered.

Your "detached & Deluded" comment is also completely made up as BASIL and its members have been nothing but supportive to BST and the removal of the Stains, so stop making things up.

So come on Blood tell the truth did you go?
On the other board I'm pretty sure you said you decided to stay at home and wash your hair.

Pool Seasider, the Yorkshire Seasiders were founded in August 2003 and cater for the needs of exiles living on this side of the Pennines. After a bumpy few years through the boycott years we are again on the up. However, living away from Blackpool has unique problems in attending games, travelling to home or away fixtures and finding out what exactly is going on locally. We don't have any more rights than any other supporters group but try to keep our members as up to date as possible on what is happening at the club and in the environs of Blackpool.

As said above, and with no disrespect to the various supporters groups, it'd be more representative of the fans, and more profitable for the club, if they just opened the sponsors lounge to all supporters for meetings like this. I'm pretty sure that's how it used to be done in the old days in the Tangerine Nightspot, IIRC?

Wouldn’t it be nice, instead of whining about who was or wasn’t invited, if we actually heard a bit of what was said at the meeting?

The Leyland/Chorley Branch were not mentioned in the above groups. Did they get an invite?

Leyland and Chorley Seasiders are celebrating 50 Years of continuous Support from behind enemy lines - though many members live on the Fylde Coast - a celebration for Current and Past Members is being held in the Tyldesley Conservative Club after the Burton Home Game - I'm sure any old faces will be welcomed, that includes Andy Pilley who used to travel on the coach - just in case he reads this!

Surely any of those who attended the meeting could spill some shit. Or are those who attended not allowed to discuss what was said at the meeting until the minutes are released?
