Tony's Ukraine Announcement

Sorry Tony but I can imagine you spent a while writing those words .. only for no one in the ground to hear a word you were saying. In fact, if it hadn't been for the Stand with Ukraine flag on the screen and boards I wouldn't have known what we were applauding for (if indeed we were supposed to be applauding).
That along with 'taking the knee' meant there was more action pre-match than in much of the following 90 mins Madine's goal aside!!

I must admit I got a bit confused when we were one minute Standing with Ukraine and the next taking the knee. It was a bit like being at a Catholic mass (up, down, shake it all around, etc).

It's poor, if someone's eating a bag of crisps within 50 feet of you in the north at times Tony is reduced to a mere mumble.

The PA system is rubbish in the North. You can’t really hear anything he says. Always seems better PA systems in other grounds.

What's being done about it @Bin away for a while - it's embarrassing and if anyone wanted to make an important announcement it would go completely unheard in sections of the ground. Whenever I hear the muffle over a speaker, I look to the big screen in the hope it's being put on there as well.

Who was the (I presume) ex player a month or so ago that you brought out onto the pitch? I think I could make out a Caribbean accent but could be wrong. Other than that I couldnt understand or hear any of the interview / chat that happened - I sit in the North D block. Would be interested to know who the player was? Many thanks.

Ahh ok. That makes sense as wiki just told me hes of Martiniquais heritage. That's in the Caribbean.

Anyone have a clue what hes upto now? This is probably what Tony Parr was asking and what I couldnt hear due to the poundland PA system.

I know the powers that be are aware that the system isn't great. The microphone system had a costly and significant upgrade recently, but i think the cost of upgrading the speakers is quite prohibitive at the moment.
