To be fair, Derby seems a bit similar to you guys tho - couple of good results and then they hit the reset button and loop through again...

Be daft to pot him and start again I think. Same with Critch. Things don't always happen instantly.

Feels like it's merry go round season. Lot of chatter about us getting Williams from Notts County, with their fans feeling like us when Bristol City were sniffing. Already seen them squirming more this morning over the prospect of a Derby job likely soon to be available...

Side note - saw a random tweet linking Critchley to Rotherham now Matt Taylor's been potted...

Time wise - if you're thinking of doing it, having rest of '23 to review the team before a fresh transfer window is probably the optimal time this season, no?

Very random tweet by the sound of it. Better to give a new man a window yes. (Sadler, take note!)

But only change during the season if things are badly wrong, in my opinion. We didn't even benefit from getting rid of Appleton. The timing was daft though. And the replacement wasn't thought through.

Lol yeah, someone equally as daft murmured Mick McCarthy's name earlier in the week... Hardly the progressive manager we'd want to replace Manning...

I wonder what Charlton fans are making of mApp, always a legend for us, not sure about that difficult 2nd season scenario though - often taints the first ay?

MApp floundered twice for us. In difficult circumstances both times. Oystons first time. Muckers second time. 👍
 
Fleetwood was hugely disappointing - Bolton was kind of expected (as a defeat at Pompey will be) however we have 6 very winnable league games between now and the end of the year and that will be the true test as to whether we are a Top 6 team or not.
