Top 7 still to play each other

Looking at the remaining fixtures, there are still plenty of games involving the Top 7.
Whilst we still have Pompey, Barnsley, Derby and Bolton to play ...

Pompey have 5 of Top 7 to play (6 of Top 8)
Derby have 3 of the Top 7 to play (4 of Top 8
Bolton have 5 of the Top 7 to play (6 of Top 8)
Posh have 4 of the Top 7 to play
Oxford have 4 of Top 7 to play
Barnsley have 4 of the Top 7 (5 of Top 8)

Lots of points there won't be won. We just have to make sure we do in the four games above what we did to Posh. It's all a long shot but I think if we can get a result against Bolton then we still have a shot at it.

We have 4, Bolton (h), Portsmouth (h), Derby (a) & Barnsley (h).

If we are looking longer-term we may need to win 9 of our last 13 fixtures. W9 D2 L2 would give us 79 points and probably a play-off place. We have the squad to do that but there hasn't been a consistent sequence of results all season. Its not so much about the top teams (although having to play each other may help), it's about the team's ability to produce a series of positive results. Peterborough is a start but that's all it is, a win against Bolton would be a step further - then its 8 from 12.

My assessment is Oxford have 13 games left. Can't see them winning more than 7/8 of them in current form and add another couple of points and it takes them to around 78 and so as @Murciaseasider says that needs us effectively needing to win 9 of our last 13 games and that leaves very little room for error.

It'd be interesting to see us plot our remaining fixtures and see where it takes us. We currently under Buckingham seem to win one, lose one on average... So would high level say 6/7 wins...
