Torquay gone to administration

A victim of the me, me, me player salaries and shameful oversight of so called governing bodies. Should reinvent lower leagues and make them coed. Get the best of males and females and then give clubs more of a chance to make some money and make a salary cap for upper divisions like American basketball.

It must be so costly & difficult to keep a non league club going. Most owners manage to keep their clubs going by using their family wealth & with the support & hard work of fantastic volunteers.
There's no answer to bailing out a club that struggles.
Sad for Torquay & I hope they can survive.
PS: It is a nice play to holiday, if you can be bothered to drive to the south coast (we once stayed in the self catering Corbyn Suites)

It’s all down to player wages full stop.

Run your football club as a P&L and set your budgets clearly. Unless you want to own a club and spend all your family money on it?

If you get a revenue of £500k to £1m which is feasible as a non league side then you will have to be either semi pro or get players on v low contracts.
