They've just voted it through. Oh so quietly.. whilst you're all sleeping! This is just the first step, they'll bring this 'privatisers' charter back in the late summer.

There's money to be made in peoples misfortune.

Just to remind the majority on here who sacked the man who would've stood firm against this drip, drip process.

Retire at 58? Say no more.

I deal with the NHS and the number of people who tell me I’m retiring next week and then miraculously return on the “bank” for 2-3 days a week but still on full pension. Nice work if you can get it 👍

Yep, on the 95 scheme, I pity new starters these days, it's whatever the national retirement age is.

There'll be no bench for me, gone for good. There's a reason it's there though, no bench would mean a dangerous service at times.

Because the way the staff are treated the NHS can't fill full time posts. Also, people doing Bank work need the work. It isn't a nice-to-have added extra to retirement. I know, I've done Bank myself and my wife had a full NHS career. Good people on the whole and doing good work without proper reward or recognition.

I know from close family that staff morale in one particular area of the Vic is at an all time low. Severe staff shortages, undervalued by management / government and the prospect of an imminent large increase in admissions.
You’ve had your shiny new badge and your weekly clap - now feck off!

Sajid Javid is a major proponent of selling off the NHS.

This is the first step.

Doubly galling after a year and more of "Our NHS" this and that.

So appreciative unless it's giving a pay rise rather than platitudes and medals.

People don't seem to care. Murdoch educated, subservient muppets.

The NHS was set up as gratitude for people returning from the second world war. A free health service for the people of this country, I'm convinced you'll never understand why that is real patriotism and something to be very, very proud of. So next time you sing 'Land of hope and glory' just for once try and think about your positioning.

The Tories want to take it away folks, where are the flag waving, Murdoch educated, Boris loving fools now. Your vote at the last election allow's them to do this and another chance like Brexit and Covid to redistribute public funds and make mega books.

Another fine example of "levelling up"

The government have been urinated on you for nearly eleven years and you still haven't realised.

Of course it would be worse under Corbyn, as if that is some sort of excuse for asset stripping of a nation. You'd think Blackpool fans would be better at recognising the signs.
But recognising the signs comes at a cost of not feeling part of the gravy train.. besides, Murdoch and other media barons have instructed them "Corbyn would be bad for the NHS" It makes you wonder why they would say that?? 😟

Personally I prefer the one with the penis..thats the women............ isn't it???
It's so confusing!

Why is Materates liking this post? Apparently you're potless or so you tell us?

Hope the NHS crumbles. Shitty decrepit institution that everyone brainlessly worships. A money pit.

Aye ok.On the top heavy management you might have a point and certainly there are forever links between drugs companies and MPs consultancy etc, and perhaps they could appoint an independent regulator run by the Patients Supporters Association? (smiley)

You'd be the first to cry if you broke both legs and had to go to a private hospital only to be billed 5k per leg.
Yup there are no real alternatives especially for an obese population that still smokes and gets hammered on too much alcohol over the weekend.

Didn't think you'd care either way. Get out there and sod the consequences has been your line for over a year.
Me waiting for consequences
