If any of you might recognise themselves or “ family or friends” from this old school photo.
It would have been taken sometime between September 1956 and July 1958 when I attended Roseacre Primary School, most likely in the later part of that period.
Sadly I don’t remember anyones names with the possible exception of Ann(e) Smalley ( my elder brothers use to tease me about having a crush on her
)and Brenda Swindles ( and not even sure about either) being correct) but certainly can’t put a name to any of the boys on the photo.
For the record I am on the front row next to the girl in the white dress( Anne I like to think
) with the triangle ( I remember ,including me ,the school once performed on stage at the Winter Gardens so this might have been taken around that time) and the shirt a tie.I point this out simply because most friends and family always point to the boy on the other side who looks a bit excitable,which is not usually in my nature.
