If any of you might recognise themselves or “ family or friends” from this old school photo.
It would have been taken sometime between September 1956 and July 1958 when I attended Roseacre Primary School, most likely in the later part of that period.
Sadly I don’t remember anyones names with the possible exception of Ann(e) Smalley ( my elder brothers use to tease me about having a crush on her😳🤔🥰)and Brenda Swindles ( and not even sure about either) being correct) but certainly can’t put a name to any of the boys on the photo.
For the record I am on the front row next to the girl in the white dress( Anne I like to think😁) with the triangle ( I remember ,including me ,the school once performed on stage at the Winter Gardens so this might have been taken around that time) and the shirt a tie.I point this out simply because most friends and family always point to the boy on the other side who looks a bit excitable, which is not usually in my nature.49235CA4-15A6-40C4-9BB1-B1E1FB644BFA.jpeg

This might be clearer

Who is the teacher in the photo? I started at Roseacre Easter 1965.

Nice photo
Thanks Blood...it’s just a shame I can’t put any names to the other people including the teacher.Hopefully someone might spot a face they know and start the ball rolling.
I just remember I was happy at Roseacre then my Dad decided I should follow my two elder brothers and go to Arnold Junior school and then the senior school ( at least I went there through the 11 plus so my Dad didn’t have to pay) and I have no particular fond memories of either school other than “Sir Jimmy” taking a big interest in our junior school sport.Needless to say I never joined the Old Arnoldlians or whatever they are called.
