Tower on fire

I think you’d want to get firefighters up there and stop the flames dropping down and spreading down onto the enclosed area or roof of the main building and making it worse.

Like @Lala , I'm guessing It's an electrical fire, from the external lighting perhaps.

If it is electrical, they'll be able to use foam based extinguishers rather than water. A few fire engines just passed me on Park Road so hoping it can be controlled ASAP.

How will they get to it? Walk up and then get breath back for 5 minutes? I woudn't fancy going up in a lift.
They are trained to get up steps in tower blocks in full gear and there are pretty good access steps all the way to the top. It’s getting enough foam up there that’s the problem.

Looking at the footage it seems containable and quite repairable. I can't see it spreading up as it's steel. Lets hope anyway.

If you watch the video it looks fake. The flames are all even and flickering and no smoke. I can see the top of the tower from my house and there is no smoke. I’m pretty sure it’s a hoax

Apparently that level is closed for renovation at the moment and it’s orange netting blowing in the wind…. No fire! No fire, only drill!

Better safe than sorry with the history of that structure. Someone has been extracted from the building and arrested with a bit of a struggle apparently!

My family and I were in the Tower Circus venue as the fire broke out. Everyone had to evacuate.

Oddly the evacuation began the moment the show countdown reached zero. Strange timing.
