Training Ground Permission

I thought Sadler had said the whole project is on hold anyway due to building costs. In fact he did. So there is no point sweating on any application plans and he has no excuses for not strengthening the squad in January.

You preferred the Oystons then.
The Oystons were bell ends lets not forget that, but in terms of who is better at running the football club I'd suggest the Oystons acheived a lot more on a smaller playing budget and gave us the best few years we had as Blackpool fans. In 4 years under Sadler we have heard nothing but lies (Training Ground/East Stand) and the team is probably about the same level as when he took over. Not exactly progress is it.

I’m beginning to think that running a football club is getting a bit rich for Sadler’s blood. I also think he would pull out if the opportunity arose.

Simon Sadler is the best thing to have happened to our club and I've watched them for 65 years.
We are solvent and well run by an owner who is born and bred and supports BFC. There are clubs in financial debt with poor and greedy owners like we were and those were dark days indeed.
I love championship football with the away fans and watching good players playing good football but the hard thing is when we go back up is staying there because money rules today.
SS is hopefully that man steering the ship.

Listen, ItsDimUpNorth, why don't you get someone to explain the club accounts to you and then you'll see how much Sadler is spending.

Should we and he be getting more for his money? Arguably, yes buy you can't fault him and the club for trying.
Was it a busy day at work yesterday, Mr Sadler?

The club haven't said anything new have they? The gazette has put this out for clicks. Even if the club had promted the update, so what. It's not like the non news changes anything or anyone's thinking on anything.

There's been covid and a cost of living and the costs have gone up massively. It's needed to become the club we want to be, but squires gate has seen significant improvement and investment, so is OK for now, until the costs are more acceptable. Tbh they should build it in stages and add to it. But by the time the planning is possibly accepted maybe it'll happen, as inflation is coming down.

It's also a process and is awaiting approval, it's out of their hands and oit of their hands when the news drops, as the gazette do regular articles on planning updates all the time.
Take your head out the sand.

Keep hearing this “born and bred supports BFC” - Serious question, does anyone know if he actually used to attend games? Who he used to go with etc?

Well, there are 2 meetings of the Wyre Planning Committtee before the end of February, when the application apparently expires. So, it will be determined at one of those or will expire and have to be resubmitted. The agendas for those meetings should be available in the New Year. The original timetable seemed to suggest it would be determined by the end of August? Not that unusual for planning issues to slip a few months

What have I said that's untrue?

You're the one who's attempted to link a complete non story, where nothing has actually happened, to a conspiracy about it being potentially timed to keep happy clappers happy and shut down probing questions, in the event we dont spend what some expect, when the article has no effect on anyone. Everyone knew this was ongoing in the background anyway so it still going on in the background has no effect.

Also covid and the following cost of living is very real and anyone knows that it's made things more difficult and will have slowed things down, how could it not?

Seriously, the costs of the planning application and supportive documents are prohibitively expensive so why would the club do that? May be to annoy some of the lunatic fringe?

You write like an entitled twentysomething so I think it's a safe bet that you and your little mob move in entirely different circles to our owner's.
Why does everyone who wants the best for the club and town have to be entitled….. is this the new leftie, woke word that you and posters like FY8 and Wiz keep using as some kind of put down? Quite pathetic really 🙄

Also gave us the worst few years as Blackpool fans. The Oystons got lucky. They didnt achieve anything apart from managed decline.

Whether he did or didnt whats that got to do with support. I suspect he did when he was in the country.

He paid over the odds for Stanley Matthews FA Cup medal and has pumped millions into the club without an expectation of return. I think its safe to say this fella is a Blackpool fan.

Wanting the best for the town and club does not make a supporter entitled. Expecting the owner to fund the club more than he already is doing makes the likes of ItsDimUpNorth very entitled.

Lack of BFC fans supporting the project i note - 18 objections and only 2 in support - PLF BFC fans need to voice their support ASAP https://publicaccess.wyre.gov.uk/on...do?activeTab=makeComment&keyVal=RUWV5ASDMCV00
The objections on environmental grounds are ludicrous and one is pure NIMBY ranting on about too many new house in Poulton - last time i looked 10 pitches aren't houses!
A great prompt and I have just completed, using this reply as a bump/ prompt for others to consider doing the same 👍

This is why things take so long. The amount of bullshit objections to things that will improve the town is mental. I'm not just talking about this, but other planning things that have taken years to get through planning or haven't got through at all because of a bunch of sad people that don't have anything better to do than complain about everything. Another case is derelict hotels, there's been a few that have been denied planning permission to be knocked down and turned into sea front apartments because of objections. Hacketts that burnt down went through this and sat derelict/a drug den for years before finally burning down. The exact same thing with the Ambassador as well. It's a complete joke. Sorry for the rant, just annoys me that people who actually want to improve areas of the town can't because of busy bodies with nothing better to do.
GLAD i dont live in the borough any more. BUT they can waste 20 MIILION quid on a effing useless conference centre.

Even more on half a mile of tram track that we didn't need, which caused massive amount of disruption to the town centre for years. The council are absolutely clueless.

Not this old argument about Sadler vs the Oystons.
Just as your annual reminder (it seems to still be needed) - the Oystons never got BFC into the championship as sole owners. Not once. In thirty years.
Sadler has had five season, and two of those were in the championship. Sadler is infinitely better, and that's before you go into any of the off field stuff.

Ahhhhh, the entitled shout.

I have really riled you haven’t I, Mr, Sadler? You don’t like to be questioned do you?

Was your best mate entitled as well, or did he lose his job as well because he dared to question you?
